Already we need HELP!!!!

DD14 got an ipod touch for Xmas. She is thrilled, but we are having a terrible time with it. I don't think it's synching on the ipod website.

When we watch the tutorial, we are not getting all the screens it seems we should be getting. Basically, after we "download" it just sits there, and according to the tutorial we should be going to a "set up assistant".

Have no clue what we should be doing? Anyone have this problem or can lead us in the right direction?

This is probably a very dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway. You have downloaded iTunes software to your computer, right?

When you say ipod web site do you mean itunes? You need itunes and then you have to put your music etc in it. Once you do that you need to make your play lists. After that, plug in your itouch, across the top there will be little tabs for music, movies, etc. Go to each one and check mark the stuff you want on the itouch. When you are all done with that go down to the bottom right and select sync. You should see a little bar across the top that says 'syncing itouch.' Then it will tell you it's okay to disconnect.

If this doesn't work please come back and provide a very detailed description of what is happening and what you want to do.

Oh, after reading again it sounds like you're having trouble down loading itunes. They're probably pretty slammed this morning. As a PP mentioned give it a little while and go back to it.

Itunes and Christmas Day are a bad combination!!

I remember our Christmas Day woes over the last few years. It's probably the website and it might go on for a few days.
