Already a DVC member but want to view SSR

Since we purchaed OKW on a resale we decided to add on points from SSR. Even though we have never toured the resort we purchased additional points. We would like to take a quick tour of the facility but without the presentation as we obviously dont need it. Does anyone know if they will do this for DVC members? Also can you arrive at anytime on your own there to take the tour or do you need to make a reservation?

Until the resort opens on May 17, 2004- the only "tours" are still at the BW Sales Center. There are SSR models available to visit there.

After SSR opens, the sales center will shift operation to that location and you can view the resort first hand. Until that time, there are no "official" tours of the SSR facility, but the construction may be easily viewed from afar at many spots around DD and more closely if you feel more adventurous.

Just call 1-800-800-9100 and schedule a tour in advance, call from your room on your next visit, schedule from one of the zillion kiosks in each park, resort or DD ...OR... drop in at the sale center and ask to see the models. As a member, you do not need to take the full tour - unless you'd like to.

We've done the "drop in" on the sales center to see the other models before. They are happy to let you go see the other model rooms there. The hardest part is watching other people taking a tour and refraining from yelling...."Just buy it or you'll wish you had done so sooner!".

LOL!!

We dropped in last month for a quick peek...BUSY!! There were people touring the models like crazy!!

They did ask to see our membership card...and "take a seat, help yourself to refreshments and a guide will be out in a few minutes to take you on a quick tour."

Lovely lemonade...and while we're filling our glasses, a gentleman sidles up to us and says"So, I hear you're members...is it REALLY worth it to buy? Come on now, tell us the REAL truth..."

DH nearly chokes on his lemonade....remember, he's with DVC's only *Unofficial* - and unpaid!!- Canadian Guide...

All I could do to restrain myself....
