Aloha! ***Welcome to the NEW Poly FAQ***

Sorry if these have been asked before. I did a search on this thread and retrieved similar rquestions, but not my exact questions;

1) Do ALL the rooms have a daybed? We would rather have our kids sleep in separate beds, so if this is not standard, we will request it.

2) Is there an email or fax number to send room requests? Or is there space in the online check-in to put in a request?

3) Last year we went to Beach Club and there was a group of ladies that put together games for the kids around the pool in the middle of the afternoon (I think starting around 3:00 pm or so?) I think they would do BINGO for a few bucks, there were also swim "competitions," name that tune, and other games. My DS loved these. Does Poly do the same thing? Is it every day? At approximately what time?

1. Yes, all of the rooms have a daybed.

2. This is the fax # I have 407-824-3174. I have heard that not all room assigners pay attention to faxes though. The things you can request on the on-line check-in form are limited (crib, refrigerator - which you automatically get at Poly anyways, and 1st floor I think). We just phoned the main reservation number and had our requests added to our reservation. We got most of what we wanted (third floor, connecting rooms) except for the specific longhouse, but we loved our location in the end anyways, so it didn't matter (the other requests were more important to us).

3. Poly does have pool games/activities. They aren't every day of the week though and the times vary. You will get a schedule when you check in.

Hope this helps! :)

WE DID IT! We are going to stay TPVCL May 4-9!!!:banana:
I can't believe it. The nice thing about this trip is that we are only going to MK one day and the rest of our time will be at the POLY. I told my husband that I don't care about the parks this time(we were just there 1st week of December). I just want my POLY!!! Love all the pics, keep them coming!!

Now THAT's how to do the Poly CL! :thumbsup2
You're my kind of people!

Have a wonderful vacation! DH and I will be doing the same thing at the BC, just wondering over to Epcot or the BW when we feel like eating......:cloud9:

Next trip......it's the Poly!
I come over here and it's a miracle I haven't split our trip or switched the whole trip over to the Poly. It is so tempting, with all these PICTURES!!!!:cloud9:

Hi everyone,

Love this thread! We are DVC owners but i've always wanted to stay at the Poly CL and will be booking 2 nights the first weekend in November. It'll be a surprise to the family, I just hope I can keep the secret :).

Anyway, I know the garden CL rooms are not cheap but i'm trying to decide between Garden CL and Lagoon CL. Is it worth another $315 to stay LV? Does anyone have photos of Garden CL views or can direct me?

TIA!!

Thanks you everyone for the great pictures of the Poly I am very excited to be staying there for the first time in Sept, in the past we have stayed at the GF and WL but like to try new places when we go. My question to all of you poly regulars is do I need to pack bug spray? It seem as though it is very lush with all the plants just wondering if bugs are a problem??? Thank you in advance.

Johnsonet, I LOVE your pics!!!

Here are a couple pics from our first ever "visit" to the Poly (2004) for dinner at Ohana and fireworks on the beach. We had the entire beach to ourselves that night! The pics aren't the best quality as they were taken with a cheap camera but my memories of the Poly that day are beautiful!!!

Here are a few pics from last year's trip in May to Ohana for dinner! We had a window seat and although it was raining, the view was still perfect! I can't wait for our trip this year as we finally get to actually STAY at the Poly!:woohoo::dance3::cheer2: I am sure we will have LOTS of pics to share then!

Hi marianos- we were at the Poly last April and didn't need bug spray. We didn't at AKL either. I think they spray to keep the bugs down at the resorts. :)

carlnix30,

I forgot to say how much I LOVE your pics of Ohana, our favorite dining experience at WDW thus far!

Happy Tuesday!

3 weeks from today we check into BW Villas and 3 weeks and 3 days we check into POLY. I am so excited. I am at the point in my planning where I keep fiddling with things. I need to just STOP.. I don't need to call and check ADR's.. I keep teetering about renting my BW Villa reservation and just stay POLY the whole 8 days but that would mean I have to downgrade to GV vs LVCL.. I just don't know what to do with myself right now.. I guess I will go try on shorts and bathing suits... :scared1::scared1:

We've never had a problem with bugs at WDW. I think it's nice that you try new places - you're gonna have a great time at the Polynesian! :cool1:

Congrats on your upcoming stay at the Poly! :goodvibes

I would say that you wouldn't need to pack bug spray because pest control at Disney is top-notch. Until last June (I'll explain shortly) I'd never been bitten by mosquitoes on Disney property...but I would as soon as I stepped off-property. :lmao:

Last June, Orlando got an insane amount of rain which resulted in a lot of standing water which resulted in...bigger mosquito problems than they were used to. Things finally got back to normal when the weather cleared up for a few days but man, I was getting bit left and right there for a day or so. :rotfl2:

Just keep an eye on the weather. If there is a lot of rain more so than usual, you may want to pack a small bottle of mosquito repellent. :thumbsup2

Unless you're young,, just don't do it in front of a mirror or you might need a few lapu lapus to kill the pain.... :teeth:
