It depends on the room number. We stayed one night in Aotearoa in a GV room and we had a great view of the lagoon, fireworks and EWP. There was a tree blocking the castle.
There are about 8 TPV rooms and 12 LV rooms in that Longhouse so you could have lucked out and received a room next door but classified as a GV due to a random tree or something that may block the view from certain vantage points.
We would love to see pics!

and it was very sparce. The bellman didn't know what kind of a tree it was becuase we asked. But it looked like a mango type tree? The fruits or pods on it looked avacado looking. I just uploaded almost 700 pix to
It really was gorgeous! Not at all what I expected a GV room to be after our first GV room in 1994.
I really didn't take many room pix dang it. We just came in and dropped so the room wasn't pristine for more than 20 seconds.
But what a great change it is with the flat screens as opposed to the old armoires for the other TVs!

I missed out on my bounceback. No luck there for me. I am happy for you that you are going back next summer.
