Thanks for sharing your pics GraceLuvsWDW! We've booked TPV and have requested 3rd floor Tahiti. Now I'm even more anxious about getting our request!

There was one set up in the hallway the day we checked out. I think it was going into our room for the next guests. It's a typical pack n'play. Looked like a decent size, but my youngest hasn't fit into one for a few years so my impression might be off a bit.

Transportation to and from the MK was another story – the resort launch stopped running quite early after park closing, and did not run during evening EMH. The express monorail and ferry to the TTC also stopped running during evening EMH, so the resort monorail was our (and tons of other guests’) only option – needless to say it took forever and was packed! :crowded: Basically any trip back from the MK was very frustrating. But that wasn’t the Poly’s fault – and at least we were able to get off the monorail at the TTC and be back in our room in two minutes!

That's strange that the ferry quit so early. We attended MNSSHP and it ran past party closing. It was also running during evening EMH. Maybe they had issues that night or something. I can imagine what the lines were like!

Grace - your fireworks photos are awesome! I tried desperately last trip to get some good ones from the beach - with a tripod - and they still aren't as good as yours.

All the Pack n Plays are the basic Graco ones. I have also seen the white metal crib described by a PP, but I saw it at Beach Club. I'm guessing they probably have fewer of those and quite a few Pack & Plays, and it would all be on a first come, first serve basis.

Just back from 1st WDW and 1st Poly stay. Everything was absolutely wonderful! I was just so happy to finally go to Disney that any little thing that may not have been perfect, I didn't even care or notice and if I did, I didn't let it bother me. I just wanted to have a good time with my family and not nit-pick about every little thing. ("Where The World Like A Loose Garment" goes a long way ; D)

The Dis really helped me prepare for this trip & I couldn't have done it w/o all of you! THANKS SO MUCH!!! My expectations were in check and therefore no dissapointment for me. In fact, upon arrival Barbie who was working Concierge told us we had a Lagoon View CL (we only booked CL GV) so I was ecstatic. She asked us what floor we were hoping for & I said I didn't have a preference. 3rd floor is what we got along with THEE most amazing view of the 7 Seas Lagoon, GF, CR, etc. I would finally go to bed around midnight, sneak a peek or two during the night at the color-changing castle and get out of bed around 5:00 a.m. just to watch the Magic Kingdom "wake-up". I'm still getting goose bumps.

Anyhow, I've been busy downloading/uploading pics but just wanted to share how wonderful we thought the Poly was and would not hesitate recommending or going back to this beautiful resort. (and we loved BC just as much) Ahhhhh, to be in love!!!:lovestruc

Loperella, are you pictures up yet? Can't wait to see them.

Thanks to all who responded on the crib/pack n play question. I feel better now. We went on vacation when our older was a baby and got the hotel crib and it was just horrible. The fact that the Poly seems to mostly have pack n plays is welcome news.

Thanks again!!

Only 34 days to go -- Wooooo Hoooo!

Thanks! I just got this camera right before the trip so I didn't know all the proper settings but I thought those pics came out pretty good too!

Can anyone answer the post further down the board (right now) about the view at Poly CL? Whether there are 2 views (GV and LV) or 3 views (GV, LV, and TPV). I thought there were all 3 in Hawaii. Anyway, it's a separate question someone is asking and I might have given out bad info? Thanks!

In the Hawaii Longhouses there are two views, Garden View and Lagoon View.

What BreezysMom said (thanks for putting the link) I didn't do a "trip report" so they're scattered about. I have some in Balcony views and a few other places too. If there's something specific you're looking for, I can look thru my pics & see if I have it. (I believe I took over 800+ pics!) I'll prob be putting up some snippit food review soon too w/lots of pics.

I've heard tale about the "infamous" palm tree view too, but Barbie kinda looked at me funny when I asked about this one. There are Palm trees on that side of Hawaii and they might obstruct slightly, but they didn't look to be a huge problem.

Ohhhhhh, I miss that view....[sigh]:cloud9:

Oh it's nice to hear some good reviews! From some I have read, I was getting nervous! I have never been to the poly and was so excited and then it seemed a slew of people were coming back saying how dirty it was for a deluxe and how all the CM's were miserable...

Our DS13 has always wanted to stay at the Poly ever since he was 3 years old so I am very excited to say that we switched our BC ressie to the Poly TPV for next July. We were going to stay at the Poly in 2011 as a surprise trip for our DS but we decided since next years trip is a gift for his 8th grade graduation, we would surprise him with the Poly as well.:yay: We invited his BFF13 to join us and this will be his first trip to Disney. Ok, I feel better that I don't have as long to keep this a secret now.:dance3: I did put in a request for Tahiti as well. Now I have to change my tickers.

We ate at ‘Ohana twice, and the line to check in was insane both times, but we were sat almost immediately each time, and enjoyed two fantastic dinners. I also tried my first lapu lapu – wow, I had fun that night!!

The check-in line seems to always be insane at 'Ohana. We had Christmas dinner there one year and it was nutz. But after a Lapu Lapu, well...everythging wuz allright! LOL! My sisters had the same reaction you did when they tried the Lapu Lapu their first time. :lmao:

Glad you enjoyed your trip!

The CL Garden View (which is what we had) overlooks the quiet pool and the grounds toward what used to be Tangaroa Terrace. Here's a photo from our stay last December. Ours was a second floor room.

You switched again!:rotfl: Are you combining the CR and Polynesian now? Anyway, congratulations and happy planning!:surfweb:

Great picture, MsSB. :goodvibes

I can't even image trying to check into 'Ohana for Christmas dinner - that must have been crazy!

Absolutely, and I do not exaggerate, it was :scared1::scared1::eek::eek::scared1::scared1: So...many...people. The CMs actually look 'relieved' when you tell them you have a reservation and are very apologetic for the wait time. But it was also really memorable with the Poly staff doing the hula to Christmas tunes and Kaleo (at the time) singing Mele Kalikimaka in Tambu lounge. :thumbsup2
