I am trying to put a room request in. The system will only give me two choices
pack-n-play or ref. how do I put in a certain bldg. or floor etc.? TIAprincess:

You switched again!:rotfl: Are you combining the CR and Polynesian now? Anyway, congratulations and happy planning!:surfweb:

Great picture, MsSB. :goodvibes

 BCV23, I have made my way through Disney without even being there.:lmao: Our DS has strongly expressed that he would really like to stay at the Poly so we figured, why not do it next year since the trip is for him and his BFF. Next year will just be the Poly and then off to the HRH at Universal. So we will be down in FLA for 12 days. I think that's a really nice 8th grade graduation gift. I remember when I graduated 8th grade many years ago :rolleyes1 I got a watch. Which I still have to this day. 2011 will be CR and BW. 2012 will be GF and YC/BC. Haven't started on 2013 but I am sure it will be soon.:rotfl:

You can't do it on the online check-in thing. You would have to call the reservations # and have them add any special room requests to your reservation.

LOL - well no one said they were perfect! :rotfl:

Oh it's nice to hear some good reviews! From some I have read, I was getting nervous! I have never been to the poly and was so excited and then it seemed a slew of people were coming back saying how dirty it was for a deluxe and how all the CM's were miserable...

You'll love it! It's great! You are also prepared for the 'bad' IF it happens so enjoy the time. It's a beautiful resort and the monorail CAN NOT BE BEAT!!! I could ride that thing all day...Well, maybe not ALL day :) But you can go hotel hopping really easily!

Hi Poly Peeps

I get to do my two week dance! :cool1::banana::dance3::yay::woohoo::cheer2:

To all my co travelers...we are almost there! party:

I too have been struggling with much too much other stuff right now when I should be getting ready for our trip. Sooo looking forward to arriving at WDW!

Hey Breezy---WOOT!!! Not long now...the week will fly by & you'll be at The Poly before you know it. I can't wait to go back, but I'm not sure my DH is going to be ready by October. (plenty of time to get him "prepared" ;))

HAVE FUN & ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy dancing, BreezysMom and maiapapaya! :dance3:

Can't wait to read about your trips.:goodvibes

A few pages back someone mentioned a boxed fan you can request. Do they have them in all the longhouses? I brought a sound machine our last trip and the hallways were noisy, even over my sound machine. But a fan? Ahhh, that is music to my ears! Is this a request that you ask housekeeping about when you get there?

I'm catching up on reading some posts on the thread, and I noticed this one. Sorry if it's already been answered, but here's what I know:

We're leaving for Club, Garden View room in about a week or so. Requested a box fan from CL Itinerary planners and got an email back saying that they'd have it for us when we checked in. I had contemplated downloading some white noise on our IPod for the kids' bedtime, but no need with a fan.

I have seen actual cribs delivered to the rooms at the Poly. :goodvibes They're the white metal ones and they do the job so if you don't want to haul the Pack N Play from home (I had to do that once--never again) the cribs will suffice.

The only resort I've seen Pack N Plays provided in the room already is at the AKL.

Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

Hmm...we requested a Pack n play for our upcoming trip, and CL concierge said they would supply us with one. She didn't communicate anything about a white metal crib. I had heard on a past WDW Today podcast that the resorts use Pack n plays (and fairly new ones too) consistently for crib requests. How long ago did you see these "traditional cribs" delivered? Perhaps it's changed??

Or, if you're staying Club level, you can just email the Poly Itinerary Planning Office to put in your request.

I saw this Christmas of last year. Judging by the responses on the thread, that has most likely changed. Or perhaps they 'ran out' and only had those left. :goodvibes

I've seen both. I bet you're right, though. It's a lot easier to store the PnPs, so they probably only use the cribs when they have to or receive a specific request for them.

I was told that the standard is a pack & play but that "real" cribs are available on request, so that might be where the white metal one comes into play.

We just saw one of the white metal ones at Beach Club in December (well I guess that's not "just" but it seems like not long ago). I do think you have to specially request those - if you don't, you would get the pack and play.

Thank you for your response! I will shoot IPO an email right now! Glad to know I won't have to pack my sound machine (which didn't really work anyway!)

And BTW, have a great trip! Make sure you tell us all about it when you return!
