Just got back from an incredible stay at the POLY CL in the Honeymoon suite in Tonga. It was simply amazing!! The room was beautiful! I have pics that I will post later. The Tonga building was very small, but quiet and romantic. Their offerings were a step up from what we had at Hawaii ( we had access to both CL buildings), serving breakfast and lunch items only. We will stay no where else now; its POLY CL or nothing. The service was outstanding.

:wizard::wizard:Finally was able to get a room at AP rate for Lagoon View CL for our two nights after our OKW stay :wizard::wizard::wizard:

So now I need to get in contact with IPO. I'm going to check on the Club Level thread but does anyone have the email addy for Poly specific IPO?

Also, what sort of views might we have with lagoon view?

Wow! You'll have to become the Poly FAQ suite "expert"! LOL! I really don't know too many people who have stayed in Tonga in the suites.

Hi Poly lovers,
We just got back on Sunday from 8 days at the Polynesian. It was awesome! We stayed Lagoon view club level. The hotel was beautiful, the room was clean, all the CM's we met were wonderful! Having access to the lounge was great! We definately got our money's worth from breakfast (we are light breakfast eaters), afternoon snacks, and beer and rum punch (yummy!). We spent alot of afternoons at the pool, and Steve and Tim at the pool bar are the best! They were joking with my kids all week, and made them great smoothies! The weekends were crowded, but midweek was pretty quiet. My kids loved Cap'n Cooks, DH and I loved 'Ohana. Caught the torch lighting one night - so cool!! We also had the kids characitures done at the hotel - they came out great, they are my favorite souvenier. Never waited more than 5 minutes for a monorail or a bus , even one night/morning when the monorail was down. We sent the kids to the Neverland club one night, they had alot of fun. Honestly, I can't think of anything bad to say about the hotel at all. I would LOVE to stay there again someday!
Any questions - I'll be happy to answer!!!:goodvibes

What floor did you stay on? How was your view? Did you enjoy the fireworks?

We're back from our BC stay, but did visit the Polynesian while we were there. There is a new food list for concierge that went into place on 10/5 if anyone is interested. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Tess for posting the new concierge menu...looks like they've added a few extras! Breezysmom, can't wait to hear your report next month!

Tess, welcome back!:grouphug: Did you enjoy the F&W and your stay at BC? I hope the weather was better than your May trip. Thanks for sharing the menus with us. Nice work!:surfweb:

Way to go, BreezysMom!

The weather was glorious! Not a drop of rain while we were there and 90s--loved it. We enjoyed our stay at BC and the F&W was a fun event. We can't wait to do it again.

The menu looks interesting, but we will miss the lo mein and danish. :sad1:

Yeppers...at 2am DD came into my room "mommy I don't feel good". So I whip out the thermometer and she was blazing :scared1:. 102 degrees

So, no school today and total rest and fluids! I hope the little sweetie gets well soon. She is really upset about missing school for our trip and now will miss a few days with this fever! :headache:

I was feeling so on top of things yesterday! The bright light is we have almost 3 weeks till we leave....she got a flu shot and so did I so I am crossing fingers!

Just a minor setback....lets hope she bounces back quickly and DH and I stay well. I did lysol and wipe down every thing that did not run away from me this morning...come to think of it, the dog may have got a spray or two of Lysol :rolleyes1 JK...the dog is fine :lmao:

Sorry to hear your daughter is sick Breezy...My kids are fighting the whatever is going around bug right now...so far so good..but the last couple of days my son <5> has been getting congested and cranky..My daughter's are fighting sore throats..just found out our neighbor who my kids play with has strep..I don't mind strep though..and antibiotic and it's outta here!! Better now then 11/1 when we leave!!

I will keep my fingers crossed that no one's kids get sick!!!

Nice photos - I didn't know the decor was different in the suites - looks nice.

The pictures do not do it justice. It was amazing!! Very French Colonial/Polynesian. The jacuzzi tub was awesome!! I watched TV from the tub many nights.

Hello Poly fans! I'm booking today for July 4th. Now if they'd only extend the 4/3 deal for that time....

Hi to all,
We've been back for almost two weeks from our stay at the Poly and thought we'd sort of do our trip report. First of all, we'd like to thank everyone for all the good information that is available on this and previous threads. We did online check-in and got our room request fullfilled. Had third flour in Touleva and ended up with a great view of the water and the Grand Floridian. The room was very spacious and clean. However, even though it was clean it was showing signs of wear, especially in the bathroom area. We will report that Mousekeeping was very good and for those who love the towel animals, we had a new one every day.
So, would we stay there again? Probably not. For us, the resort was not our cup of tea. Too spread out and the Capt'n Cooks was a zoo at breakfast time. No complaints about the food except for the limited selection. We did eat at Kona once and the food and service were fine but had to wait past our reservation time to get seated. We did the Spirit of Aloha show and while we enjoyed the show we thought the food was not up to par. We did have good and attentive service so all in all the experience was one we were glad to have had.
We are glad that we decided to try the Poly and did like the location. But, all that being said we don't think we'll be going back (especially since we became DVC members on this trip). Thanks again for all the help with our trip planning.

What floor did you stay on? How was your view? Did you enjoy the fireworks?

We were on the 3rd floor ( I had requested either 3rd or 1st), almost to the end of the hall. Our view was gorgeous - no trees or shrubs anywhere on Lagoon view side, so any lagoon view will be too. The fireworks were great and Hallowishes were spectacular!!! It was so great to be able to watch from the balcony, in PJ's and able to tuck the kids (and ourselves) in right away. It was worth every penny, to me at least!:goodvibes
