The Poly and GF share movies on the beach. It is located in the beach area between the two resorts. Yes there are s'mores kits you can purchase!:thumbsup2

Here is the LIVE feed from the Poly thanks to tecDavidt. :worship::worship::worship:

This video feed was the highlight of our New Years last year! It is amazing to be able to see the fireworks from home since I am not fortunate enough to see them in person! I have actually had the feed on my laptop all day :rolleyes1

A big thanks to them for sharing their vacation with us! pixiedust:

Happy New Year to everyone! :cool1::dance3::banana::yay:

Oh man, now I have another thing to distract me at work! :) I'm keeping it open on my laptop now! Love it!!!

Just for fun I am looking at the various rates for 2010 and I knew before that at the Polynesian they added a Club Level - Magic Kingdom View, however why do they still have a Club Level - Lagoon View? When my family and I stayed there in December 2007 we had a Club Level - Lagoon View (room #3510) with a direct view of Cinderella's Castle, so what rooms are considered a Lagoon View and which ones are considered a Magic Kingdom View?

I responded to your similar post on the concierge thread, too. I don't think anyone, at this point, knows the exact room numbers to be deemed "Theme Park View" at the club level. The LV price category will be those rooms with a less the perfect view of the MK.

As I posted previously, I don't think there is a totally obstructed view on the LV side, but there are some rooms with "perfect" views. I would certainly be happy with any LV room view as long as it was on first or third.

I also can't imagine that the Polynesian will hold the TPV CL rooms out of inventory if there is a large demand for LV CL as opposed to the ridiculous extra charge for TPV CL.

As of now, it's most of the 2nd and 3rd floors. They'll probably change things around as it goes along. They have about 35 CL MK rooms, and 19 LV rooms. Again, that may change :thumbsup2

As with all things at Disney. . .:thumbsup2 Hope you had a lovely holiday season David!

I love this thread! We just changed to the Poly thanks to the new discount and I have been going through all the Poly info I can find. Just wondering if my 5 year old is able to wear a life vest or swimmies on the slide. I know they don't allow it on some enclosed slides. Thanks.
Can't wait until May 21!

I'm watching the live feed and it looks soooo cold, people are all bundled up it looks like! Love the train whistle and boat horns - so cool and brings me right back. Where exactly is the video broadcasting from?

1st trip to wdw for all of us, dh and ds(2). We will be at the poly jan 27-feb 5 I am very excited. Was wondering if the Poly had a step stools available for my 2 almost 3 yr old. Are step stools available there? I am pretty sure he won't be able to reach the sink to wash his hands and unless the toilet is low he will probaly need it to pee. I was hoping the Poly had a little people kit like I saw on the tv show Little People Big World. Has anyone asked for step stool for their little one. It would make life easier for those 10 days. I don't really have room in the suitcase. thanks for the help

They definitely can!! Our first trip, we brought our own vests (Speedo) type for both kids, no problem with them wearing them on the Poly slide (or on anything at Blizzard Beach, just as an FYI). Second trip, DS didn't need anything, but we forgot DD's vest. She swims pretty well, but the current at the bottom of the slide, plus the need to get out of the way pretty quickly, we opted to have her wear a vest for less worry. It was such a nice set-up, you can get the vest for free at the marina and they let you keep it for your entire stay!! You just turn it in on your last day. Was nice not to have to go get one each day.

I was unemployed for Christmas, but I'm back in my old position as of last Sunday so it's better now :goodvibes

We're going to the Poly!! I managed to take advanage of 5+ night offer and got a great rate for a GV room at the Polynesian. This is our second trip to the World (we were at the GF for a week last January) and are SO excited to be spending 10 days at the beautiful Polynesian!!

I booked under 5+ too but I just had my agent update my ressie with the new 30-45% off and saved another $300! you may want to ask for the new offer!

After trying out GF last year... I just made reservations to be back HOME at the Poly in August!!!!!:cool1:

We are beyond excited!:woohoo:

Hi! :goodvibes Good question! To the best of my knowledge I'm not aware of the Poly providing step stools.

Just want to see my new ticker! We've had a room booked for several months but I just saved 40% today, thanks to the Disney Armed Forces Salute!:yay::yay: It's real, because I've just purchased the airline tickets, too.

I should have posted that we made it! Although I just read that you all figured it out. The cam has been up and running since 12/26. Wishes is at 8:00 pm tonight so don't miss it. We leave tomorrow. We already have the Poly booked for next NYE. Hopefully we will get the same room. We even had a DIS meet NYE night! it was great. Kathy
