CL is sounding better and better :)
The trip would be soon, the first week in may, I made ADR's 2 weeks ago but didn't get the time I would like on all of them... like my 9:20pm reservation for Ohana. Would they be able to help me reserve an earlier reservation if I stayed CL or do they go by the same reservation system that we do? Thank you so much for the help.

They go by the same reservation system. They can check often and try to get it, but honestly they don't have the ability to just "get" you any ADR that you want. Hope this helps!:)

I know my hubby wants to stay on the 2nd floor because of the lounge ..... the kids want to be on the 1st floor because of the beach being right there.... and now I kinda wanna be on the 3rd floor - I do love me some balcony sitting! ;)

:rotfl: Well, that's perfect then! Someone will be thrilled no matter which floor the "tiki gods" place you on!!!;) There's definitely a benefit to staying on each of the 3 floors.

Sadly, you are a little late for the dance. That doesn't mean that you can't keep trying. Especially after you get there, just keep plugging away.

Forgive me, but I am finally going back to the Poly and I just want to see my ticker!!!!! LOL! Really thinking about upgrading to TPVCL. WOW did I just say that??!!:scared1:

Hey Poly peeps--just checking on my ticker. June cannot come soon enough! You all are so full of great info--I read along daily and just want to say thank you:flower3:

Anyone have pictures of GVCL views? I know we'll likely look over the quiet pool. Are the lights at night a problem? We have requested 3rd floor, both for the balcony and the fact that there wouldn't be anyone walking around overhead.

Here is our view from third floor Hawaii. Forgive the third pic as it is not that great but I wanted to give you an idea about the lighting at night.

Before you know it you will be on your way :wizard:

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! I think I can live with those lights outside my window. I know there are drapes and they do an ok job, but I still like a dark room.

My family and I are headed to the POLY May 2ed!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT! :hourglass

I have read just about all of this thread.... :surfweb: I must say the few negative comments really make me worry. I know that it rarely happens, having a negative experience. BUT I would just be DEVASTATED!

We were at the POLY 2 yrs ago...but this time we will have a 17 month old DD :scared1: I would LOOOOVE a LV or even a TPV to look at while she naps, but I just don't think we can swing it.....hoping to get a Tahiti room.

Thank you all for the pictures and info on your recent stays! I can't wait for the Ohana breakfast, CC, Kona for both breakfast and dinner...although I am bummed they don't have the filet anymore....and OHANA for dinner...except my 8:50 reservation

POLY HERE WE COME!!!!

Soooooo my holiday trip just went BUST! :furious:

DH decides to tell me that early December is a really bad time for him to take off work and blah, blah, blah...:rolleyes1

Today I literally had to sit him down and look at the calender with me to figure a new date out. We ended up deciding on 11/1 to 11/8. So about a month earlier than planned. Not really ideal dates in my opinion but there is so much going on in the summer and fall it was hard to pin point a week without conflicts. Also, DD really wants to be home for Halloween and I get that. She is 9 and wants to hang out with her friends and trick or treat.

I also have mixed feelings about the timing as it will be after the Halloween parties and before the Christmas parties, but then again I am almost thankful that there is no party to attend. Less to worry about what day to go and all that.

I am sure we will catch glimpses of holiday decor here and there. When we were there last Oct/Nov, DHS was decorated the day after Halloween  I also find it appealing that we will not have the extra holiday events to see/do and we can spend more time relaxing at the Poly. :cloud9:

Does it sound like I am doing a good job convincing myself to be happy about this date change?? :guilty: Sorry for the rant, I am frustrated. But it is all good. I am still heading to Disney :goodvibes

Thanks for listening! Now I just have to wait to hear back from my TA to make sure the dates are available??

Breezysmom - take it from me: we're ALL sending you tons of Pixie Dust and hoping your new dates will prove to be even better than the ones you had originally planned!

Thanks!

Initially our 2010 trip was to be this week! Then we decided to take the trip last October/early November 2009. That was good. Way sooner than we planned!! So it was nice. A great vacation in turned out to be!

We booked bounceback for July as well as an additional December trip. Then the July trip was axed due to a cousin's wedding. (she does not even like me anyway but I am going to her wedding regardless :rotfl2:) Then the December trip was going to be a whirlwind of food, fun and holiday cheer with parties and holidays around the world and CP and all that fun stuff. And I wanted to meet Maiapapaya!!:sad1:

I am on the verge of a full blown temper tantrum :rotfl2:

Any Poly Jersey Week people out there? Let's chat...

Breezysmom -- I'm so sorry you have to change your plans again. Don't forget that it will probably be less crowded during your new dates, plus the weather will be better!:goodvibes

And if you aren't booking CP or the holiday party, maybe you can do something special like take a tour or an Illuminations or Wishes cruise instead! The parties are $$$.;)

I hope it all works out for the best! And you'll be there a month earlier, so that's a month less waiting!

No more pity party for me. I am in new planning mode. :surfweb: I am hoping to at least catch the end of food and wine. We just touched the surface on our last trip so I am looking forward to that.

We all know I go to WDW for the Poly:love::love:...I am so looking forward to my LVCL room and spending a quiet vacation:cloud9: with DH and DD before the crazy holiday season begins. Especially since it is just after my Bridezilla cousins wedding :rolleyes1

It is a win win :thumbsup2

Thanks for the support :grouphug:

can anyone tell me if we have four kiddos do we need two rooms or do they have suites? I really would love to stay here but not sure we can swing it if we need two rooms.

How old are the kids?

You are allowed 5 in the room, plus a "baby" under the age of 3 in a crib.

There are suites at the Poly, but they are very pricey.

We'll be staying at the Poly in April. What is the best way to get back to the resort after Wishes? Thanks!

Thanks!
