Well I got some great news from my TA today. Instead of going Dec 5-11 CL GV, we are going to be going Dec 4 -12 CL TPV! I received a pin code and with that we were able to add the two days and change the view. All the CL GV rooms that were allowed with the pin were already taken. So i will be paying almost the same price for a bit longer stay and a great view!

BTW, how do I change my ticker?

Nice job! And I agree - this is the nicest thread to hang out on - everyone is amazing!

Wow!!! This thread is great! Can anyone give me advice to where we should try to request a room at the Poly? There are so many different longhouses to choose from. We will be looking to go the 2nd week of July. It will be me, DH,
DD16, DD13, DD7. Any help you can give will be appreciated. Thank you so much. :)

It all depends on what is important to you?

Do you want to be close to the pool, the GCH or possibley closer to TTC? Also what room category do you have booked? Once we know some of these things you will get a lot of advice.

Happy Planning :wizard:

okay Poly experts. I'm planning a mother/daughter trip- my mother, my 3 year old dd, 4 year old dd and me. This will be our first trip to the poly and their 2nd trip to WDW. I'm having trouble deciding the view. TPV and lagoon CL were similar in price... which would you choose? OR should I totally splurge and do TPV CL? HELP. I'm so indecisive.

Hi Breezysmom! You have done a wonderful job on this thread! We have booked a garden view and would like to be close to the pool and the GCH. Any advice you can give is appreciated. Thanks so much. :)

Looking forward to the "new" thread Breezysmom!

If you would like to be located near both pool and GCH, the best fits would be Niue and/or Samoa. Unfortunately, those are both very popular choices and smaller longhouses.

Rarotonga is also very close and also near the bus stop, so this would be a good choice as well.

Now, just a tad farther from both pools and GCH is Figi. It has become quite popular with folks on this thread. Personally, I would choose Tokelau with a GV because it is nearest the quiet pool, close to the bus stop, yet still not too far from GCH. It is also centrally located within the resort property and has some nice views.

Hope that helps in your decision making process!:thumbsup2

Oh and lissiesmum--feel free to use "Polynesian Pout" anytime--it is really how we all feel at the end of our stay! :rotfl:

Learning the lingo... Is ttc - the monorail? If so, I want to be close to that. My daughters aren't fond of walking a lot. Especially at night on the way back. And I have no room booked yet. Is that what you meant by room category?

Breezysmom -- thanks for working so hard to make the Poly thread such a wonderful "place" to visit and chat! :goodvibes

yes! thank you very much!!!! :thumbsup2

I just made final payment on our April trip last night! DS9 thinks we are staying at POFQ..........I hope he isn't too disappointed! :rotfl: The volcano pool and beach are a much better trade off, right? :goodvibes Now I just need to find some small sand toys to take with us for DS4 to use.

Today I feel really guilty that I upgraded our resort (I didn't tell DH or the kids yet; I handle the $$). We weren't suppose to even go this year, then they released the military offer which we are taking advantage off. I kept telling myself that they may not offer such a good discount again, so I better jump on the Poly while I can with the family. I LOVE the Poly...........my guilt will go away. Besides DH is set to deploy by the end of the year, so this will be a wonderful way to relax and spend some good family time. I did plan lots of resort time for us, so it isn't like we are only sleeping there. :goodvibes

Click on your ticker and just put in your new dates! Then copy the link for message boards :thumbsup2

Congratulations, BTW. I've done both and TPV CL is head and shoulders above GV CL. The views are fantastic! :wizard:

me too! And special thanks to Breezysmom for all the hard work!:worship:

Yes. Thanks Breezysmom :flower3:

I wouldn't worry too much about your longhouse since it is only a request. Also, every building I've been in has been very nice. Having said that, I'm sure your girls would enjoy being close to the pools and the beach. Everything is pretty close to everything else (except the Ticket & Transportation Center, where you'll catch the express monorail to EPCOT). Maybe request Tokelau. It's nicely located and is a large longhouse, giving you a better chance of your request being fulfilled. Have fun!

You are in for a treat. You canot go wrong with any room category at the Poly. I truly believe that. Go for whatever your budget allows! You will have amazing views in all 3 of those categories. CL at Poly is really nice, though - the lounge is awesome, the snacks are good and very convenient, the CMs are nice and will help you with dining reservations and whatever questuins you may have. With a 3- and 4- year-old it would be very convenient and fun. But even a GV room would be wonderful. Your room will have a small fridge and you can stock it with your favorite snacks :cutie: Have fun planning your Mother-Daughter trip princess:princess:princess:princess:

CL is sounding better and better :)
The trip would be soon, the first week in may, I made ADR's 2 weeks ago but didn't get the time I would like on all of them... like my 9:20pm reservation for Ohana. Would they be able to help me reserve an earlier reservation if I stayed CL or do they go by the same reservation system that we do? Thank you so much for the help.

Well the view is best on third floor! But the food sodas and snacks are served on the 2nd floor. The main lounge is on the 2nd floor! So.. We loved the 2nd floor (we could walk down to the end of hall for coffee). We loved the third floor because we could sit on the balcony! We ordered a beautiful room service dinner sat on the balcony and watched wishes while eating! Absolutley fabulous! Again a matter of opinion! TPVCL is just that!! You will have a great view no matter what floor you are on!

I know my hubby wants to stay on the 2nd floor because of the lounge ..... the kids want to be on the 1st floor because of the beach being right there.... and now I kinda wanna be on the 3rd floor - I do love me some balcony sitting! ;)

Well, look at it this way. At least one of you will be happy :goodvibes
