We are loving our stay here so far(minus our little one spiking a fever last night). We are enjoying our GV room in Fiji. It's perfect for us and the view of the water,beach and GF is wonderful for us. LOVE the quick trip to MK as well. That alone is worth the price of the poly when travelling with a stroller. Off to get ready for our 3rd day in MK. Hope the rain holds off.

Thanks for the photo therapy I really needed it.

This week I found a used Lilo and Stitch Hawiian music Cd for our ride to WDW. While listening to it for any problems it came upon Hawiian Roller coaster ride and I cried just remembering the Luau and our wonderful time in Tahiti. A little silly I know but it was the best trip we've ever had and sooo relaxing. I can't wait to get back. Now I've been listening to the CD to cheer me up. Its been hard not to share it with the kids but its supposed to be a surprise for the ride down

I'd like to know more about this too. instead of the Luau we plan to take advantage of the Story hour, Torch lighting, Hula lessons and the fun at Ohana our first day to get into the Poly Spirit. We'll be there in May too!

BreezysMom -- thank you so much for the lovely photos! Every time I second guess our resort choices then see photos like that I know that the Poly is the right place for us this trip!

So glad you're having a great time, and I hope your little one feels better now. From what I've seen, I think that that GV view from Fiji overlooking the beach and the GF is lovely! I'd be happy to have a view like that! I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay!

Actually, I believe that Twinmum was talking about storytime at the Grand Californian in Disneyland -- sorry for the confusion. Haven't heard of it at the Poly, but they have the lovely torch-lighting ceremony there. GF had storytime way back when my DD was a toddler, but I don't know if they still do.

Hi all, Just back from our Poly CL stay...great time as usual-some things about our room though more disappointing than our previous stays:
broken bulb in bathroom, fan only ran 10 seconds, doorknob previously broken & attempted to be fixed, no foot rest and the clock-radio only ran on batteries someone obviously took off the cord to plug it in & our card didn't work down at the opposite end of our building...let concierge know & the light got fixed. But the lounge was great & of course so was the food & service! People in the lounge this trip were much more rude than the previous-didn't pick up their garbage-spilled things & never attempted or even told anyone about it & extremely loud during Wishes. Sometimes people feel the are just privileged I guess....(maybe they feel they are paying more & the CMs should pick up after them & their children-which is fine if they left them a tip- -just my opinion though!!!) Otherwise-weather was great-no rain and it flew by as usual! Any questions feel free!

Yes, but you can't always hear it...this time the music was pumped through the CL lounge but our last trip it wasn't. I don't think you can hear it pumped through the grounds, as a matter of fact-it wasn't this trip. I walked the grounds & only heard it in some places.

Actually, there are speakers along the beach in front of the volcano pool but they are sometimes hit or miss. While we were there in December they did work every night as opposed to previous trips.

As far as the CL lounge you can hear the music.

It looks good to me! I am wishing my ticker said Polynesian, but I am traveling with my parents and my father loves The WL. He is a big Yellowstone/Yosemite nut so I conceded this trip for him. I love my daddo!

I love this Poly thread. There's always new friends joining in, and I love meeting up with old friends. I remember last year when mmmears, kaffinito, and myself were all gearing up for our April trip...this year I get to go first!

I love this Poly thread. There's always new friends joining in, and I love meeting up with old friends. I remember last year when mmmears, kaffinito, and myself were all gearing up for our April trip...this year I get to go first!

Up to last week they would have depressed me, but now we have booked for the end of November/beginning of December (a special Christmas trip for the family) and I am so excited to see the Poly again! Of course it's even sweeter that DH got the 40% off pin!

Isn't it so hard to stay away from the Poly? I was so sure I wanted to try somewhere new, and for the last six months, something just did not excite me about this trip...until I decided on the Poly for the second time! It's really official now...got my travel documents and my corrected DME tags that now say Polynesian, so now I just have to wait three long weeks from tomorrow. I did take out our suitcase today and started putting things in slowly...never too early to pack, right?
We have Disney on Ice tomorrow...all about the princesses. Will be a nice taste of Disney before we get there I even scored a Le Cellier ressie last night...doesn't get much better!

Planning a Disney trip just makes life so much sweeter

You will love Disney and the Poly during the holidays! We are hoping to go again this year too! I'm just waiting for the school calander to come out for the next school year before we start making any plans!

I've been enjoying this thread for the past few weeks as we just booked our first Poly stay - to celebrate DD's 16th birthday in December. We're heading to Disney in a few weeks but will be at the Dolphin for ESPN the Weekend but we plan to visit the Poly on one of our days as we do on most Disney trips. We can't wait to actually stay there.

I read a few posts back about the torch-lighting ceremony. I adore the torches on the walkways but didn't think they actually did the lighting ceremony anymore. Can one of you experts confirm.
