Geez, I'm paying considerably less than that price and we're going in October. Is this for Club level or something? Even so, that's quite a difference from where you're staying. We have a 40% discount on our rate as well, so without that, we probably wouldn't be staying at the Poly.

Well do you have coupon codes for 1st quarter 2012 anyone? or how can I get 40% or more during my dates.

Hey what the heck are the wdw lines down? I just tried to call them and see about discounts on the poly if we were to change over. But all i get is the guy in Disney official voice saying all circuits are busy call back later.

No flexibilty on the dates we already have vacation time put in for those days. I booked a park view which I believe was only one step up from garden view. I partcularly wanted the Tuvalu building with park view.

Is that with any discounts or coupon codes?

The next step up from Garden View is Lagoon View not TPV. I am not at all surprised that is the TPV rate during high season. It's generally around $200 a night more than GV. A club level GV room is cheaper than a TPV room.

You don't need a TPV room to have a fabulous Poly stay. I've paid the upcharge for a better view before but honestly the views from the GV rooms are so lovely I don't feel the need to do it again.

As for the discount codes, I got mine after I put in a vacation on the Disney website. Not a reservation, but a vacation plan. A few months after that, I got an email from Disney with a resort discount on it and the 40% off deluxe was part of that. Chances are they won't come out with resort discounts for a while now since free dining just got put out, but if you go on t he wdw website and put in your planned vacation, they'll start sending you emails with "features" of your stay. Eventually one of those emails will have some sort of discount and one of those may be a resort discount. It's never guaranteed, but there's a chance. Good luck!

I also got a 40% pin code. We probably wouldn't be staying at the Poly without one. We wanted CL but there weren't anymore rooms available for that time. I guess they block off a certain number of those rooms for discounts??? not sure.
We also got the 40% pin last year and stayed at BC/CL so with the discount and the time of yearwe are staying deluxe for the price of moderate.
I really didn't like going in August but you can't beat the cost!!

Four weeks until our very first Poly stay!! And Club Level!

Have a blast!! We leave for our first Poly stay 2 weeks from today. We are also very EXCITED!!!! We tried to book CL but they didn't have any rooms left. I think b/c of the discount (what a bummer!!!
Have you stayed CL at another resort?
It really is awesome we are so spoiled now. I'm hoping when we get there they may magically have a room. Wishful thinking lol

That's a bummer they didn't have any CL rooms left. You should definitely ask at check in though.

This is our first time staying CL. We are very excited!! I had a PIN for 30% off. Wish it would have been 40%!

There are not coupon codes for 2012 yet.. just the free dining. The 40% off typically comes in the form of a private pin code assigned to your name or via a bounceback offer.

I have always wanted to stay at the Poly ever since I was a kid and saw those cool tiki torches as I went by on the monorail...and today I was able to convince my group of 9 to spend a little more for three garden view rooms at the Poly since we will not be paying for dining! Maybe next time Beach Club!

Anyways, I was looking at the map of the resort to try to find the ideal longhouse to request...
We would like to avoid the possibility of having a second floor room with no balcony and would also like something centrally located. So looking at the map as scanning the profiles, it looks like Tokelau may be ideal. Any downsides about Tokelau that would be useful to know?

BTW, do people have much luck with specific building requests at the Poly anyways?

Thanks for all the info ! Im going to keep trying to get an earlier ressie at Ohana. I'm not sure if I want to spend 2 credits on the SOA so we may skip that. I may have to try Kona, is it less expensive then Ohana's ? I think I will have all my dining plan TS meals booked up and may have to do OOP.

Yes, Kona is less expensive than Ohana, if you could get an earlier ressie, I would try because I really felt the experience could have been alot better, if it wasn't so late for us and the staff.

Congrats! You will LOVE the Poly! I have stayed in Tokelau and liked the location! We requested 1st or 3rd floor and our request was granted. For the most part, we have gotten what we asked for.

Oh you missed it, in his other hand he had my son's Star Wars gun & daughters pink purse, as this picture was being taken he specifically made the comment "Now people are going to think I'm a STAR WARS NUT" (he was holding them for my son) HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA--

Also the torpedo toilet did not sound as loud in my video than it really is!!

OH I didnt even notice the star wars gun...
