We swam all but 2 days - one day was in the 50s, the other we had no time. If there was a breeze, it was a little cool, but most of the time, it was perfect. Have a great trip !!

Paid in full now gotta wait for the next 45 days to fly by and we'll be enjoying our first saty at the Polynesian. My Niece and Nephews first trip. My husband and I have been to Disney World 3 times. We are all very excited.
ANy advice for going with a 12 year old and 16 year old?

My sister & her family will be at the Poly on Saturday. First trip for her girls (6 & 8). I'm more excited for them than they are! I hope they have a wonderful trip.

My family has never stayed at a resort on property and all of my knowledge comes from the Dis, so I'm looking for your recent experiences again! When I first started planning (back in 2009) CL seemed out of reach. Well, we haven't been able to coordinate with DH's schedule until our upcoming trip in Oct so I've been able to save a whole bunch more and CL sounded so attractive with food, snacks, and beverages offered throughout the day.

I read TigrLvsPooh's live report and she was underwhelmed by the food's freshness and the selection. I was really looking forward to using the lounge for breakfast and grazing in the evening because the thought of big dinners every night makes my stomach hurt!
I realize that CL is much more than the lounge, but I could handle our few ADRs myself and do without a dedicated staff.
We are not picky eaters, but stale bagels and mediocre appetizers would be very disappointing. Was her experience isolated or should we just use that money in other ways?

Thanks for any advice. I hate being indecisive but that's the hazard when you have no experience with the choices.

How fun!! I'll be the mom with the three crazy kids... Just teasing - they are very lighthearted and well behaved.

Does your family know? Our trip is a surprise but DD found out (snooping) but the boys don't have a clue! Can't wait for Friday to arrive and let the cat out of the bag!!

First time at the Poly--have tried other deluxe resorts but Poly CL is by far the best! We had a family of 9- adult kids/spouses and grandbaby.
Poly CL- great food, friendly CM's and all around top shelf--viewing Wishes from the lounge-a highlight.
Love the monorail access to MK and Epcot
Only thing that we were not thrilled with was the food at Captain Cooks- we felt other Deluxe/Moderate food courts were much better.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! I had asked about CL offerings a couple of days ago to help me decide whether to spring for it or not. Another person felt the morning offerings were not fresh and the evening appetizers were supermarket caliber. What were your favorite evening offerings? Did you find the food fresh and well-prepared?

We are not picky, but stale food would be very disappointing. The idea of being able to graze is really appealing since my children are growing and eating ALL of the time. Having beverages available throughout the day would be great, too. I may have talked myself back into splurging!
