I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm gluten free and staying at the Polynesian soon! Does anyone know what type of refrigerated food there is at Captain Cooke's? Like lunch meats or fruit and stuff? Thanks so much!

Has anyone rented a cabana? We have one for a morning - which is supposed to be from 10 - 2pm. Will there be any chance that we will be able to start that time early? I feel like DD2 will crash if we try to push her that long... wish it was from 9 - 1pm instead ...

I remember there being fruit cups and different types of fruit. I'm not sure if it has gluten in it, but there was yogurt as well. I can't remember what else was there!

The marina doesn't open until 10 so it isn't possible to start the rental period earlier. My DD napped in the pack n play or on the seats inside the cabana.

I tried to get into mine early once and had a hard time finding anyone. The earliest I got in was about 10 til.:thumbsup2

If I am not mistaken, I'm pretty sure the monorail starts running at 7am.

I also think it opens two hours before park open. The person who asked the question can ask at the desk the day before to confirm.

OMG! We just upgraded from Coronado Springs to the Polynesian for the first half of our honeymoon (July 16-21)!!! I can't contain myself! We wanted to stay at the Poly but just couldn't swing it so we went for more days at two mods. Now we can experience it!!

Perfect Resort for a Honeymoon! Congrates!

I have confirmation, through Tikiman's Facebook page, from someone staying at the Poly this week that Samoa did reopen on the 25th. They seem to be staying on schedule and this is the second building (Hawaii and now Samoa) to open at or nearly on time as reported on Tikiman’s excellent post from last week. Now I hope I can get our request in 2 weeks!

No pictures, but the rooms should be same as in Hawaii. Tikiman has several pictures on his website and FB page of the Hawaii rooms (see OP, thank you for the links Trishadono). Tikiman did mention that there will be a king bed option in Samoa (and other longhouses). I will try to post some pictures when I return towards the end of April.

Thanks! I had seen the other ones so I guess they will all be similar. Just trying to occupy all of my free time obsessing over our July trip!

I'm so jealous!!! We're currently booked 8/13-8/15 at AoA, switching to Poly CL on 08/15. Thought with this discount we could switch those first two nights to Poly CL so I could spend the whole week there, but no availability for me :(

Having a newly remodeled room will be sweet though:thumbsup2

That's a great idea - I'll be sure to do that :-) I'm figuring something is running since guests have to have some way of getting to MK for early AM ressies.

We’ve been doing the same thing since our last visit in December! Even thought this will be our 4th trip in a year, we are still excited and I do obsess. The DIS and EasyWDW.com make it all the more “easy” to do so.

I made the a slight change to our ADRs last week and now have nothing left to do…

I totally understand! This is our third trip in a year... And I get so much of a high from planning! My DH says that I am always at my best when planning a Disney vacation! This will be our first CL stay so I am obsessing over that part now!
