Do not fret, most people do not know they are there..... There are 3 ....last check....

Always a free one at night... Which is the best time to me. I have watched Wishes there several times... But truth is there are much better spots at the POLY beach....

Holy cow, you guys!! We are here now. Got off DME about 4:45, taken right over to Hawaii by a super nice CM, checked in and taken up to our room only to discover that we have been upgraded from garden view to TPV!!!

I am so floored! This is unbelievable!!

:Yay: Have a magical trip! ::pixiedust::

Monorail makes it so much more convenient!!!

We like to take afternoon swim breaks & go back to the parks in the evenings & this makes it so much quicker b/c we spend the majority of our time at MK & EP! You can still do this with the buses but you can count on at least an hour travel time each way but with monorail just mins..

Also we like to eat & shop at the other MK resorts so it makes that easy as well.

The views at the Poly are the best on property! Seeing the MK, GF & CR all lit up at night is breath taking!!

we get there on the 8th too! its getting close :)

the views are amazing. we stayed in jan. at BLT and had a Mk view. while we loved it, i Prefer the Polynesian views.

also, i agree that the monorail makes it so much more convenient. i always feel as though it is just as easy to eat at cr or gf or in the magic kingdom if we feel like it. opens up the whole loop.

my husband hates the buses so i am hoping a bus free trip helps change his mind about Disney. he does not love it as much as he should right now. ha!

We leave in 100 days!:hourglass:banana: is it sad that I'm watching Lilo and Stitch by myself?

I have given up on the bus system too. We drive so its not a huge deal. It was so much more convenient to use the car. No waiting for a bus or being squished in by the last stop.

I always felt the Deluxe resorts should have their own bus....

they are not my favorite either and i agree that the deluxe resorts shouldn't share. at least it would be nice if they didnt. i think we have decided to drive in September and we are only going to go to the mk so we are hoping not to need the buses at all.

I'm excited to say we arrive at the Poly THIS WEEK!!!! :cool1:

Six days feels so short now, I need to start packing!!! ::yes::

As others have posted, there are a few hammocks. We found the hammocks to be wonderful as we spent a few afternoons during our Poly stay relaxing in them while listening to the boat whistles as the boats went back and forth to MK :cloud9:.

Checking in on Wednesday!! Can't wait!!!!! Going with parents and in-laws (should make for an interesting trip!) :rotfl2: Their first time at Poly (and both are celebrating 50th and 52nd anniversaries) so wanted to make it special. Does anyone know if they have connecting rooms in Samoa or Tokelau? I would need our room in the center and have each grandparent connecting on either side of us (need to keep everything even!!!) :goodvibes

I don't believe there would ever be an instance where rooms would connect on both sides of your room. Logistically they couldn't have access doors on both sides of your room or there wouldn't be a place to put the beds. But you could ask for 2 connecting rooms and the other one adjacent. :)

Anyone have any advice?

Hi everyone!

We are 90 days out and decided that on the night before our cruise, we would like to watch Wishes from the Poly Beach. We made a reservation for Kona, our reservation is at 5:10pm (it was this or 7:50pm and we would feel too rushed since Wishes is at 9pm) Even allowing 60-90 minutes here for a meal, we would still be finished over 2 hours before Wishes is scheduled. We're not staying at the POly but we are staying on property.

Is there anything that we can do to fill in that time? I know my sister will want to pin trade, is there anywhere else in the resort that we can check our or visit to fill in some time.

Also, it's not peak time (late October) so what time should we head for the beach to get a spot?

Sounds like a fabulous trip :cool1:. Congratulations to your parents and in-laws on 50 and 52 years of marriage :goodvibes.

I love just walking the Poly grounds or sitting and relaxing while taking in the beautiful surroundings :cloud9:. Another option would be to take the monorail to GF and/or CR and do some shopping or just walk around those resorts as well.

Not sure about Samoa or Tokelau, but our room in Tahiti connected to the room on either side of us.

Well that would make sense because we've only stayed in Fiji, Samoa, Hawaii, Nuie, and Tokelau. Tahiti does have the bigger room floor-plan so maybe that's why they have room for doors on both sides. I'm sure Steve would know exactly how many triple connecting rooms they have. :thumbsup2

Totally agreed! When we stayed at the CR in 2008 it took us almost 2 hours to get back from DTD one day :(
