I am glad you had a great trip Terry! Thanks for the update and all the info.
I can't wait to see the pictures.
I can't wait to see the pictures.
31 days to go before I visit the Poly for the first time!!
Love reading all the info...keep it up
for a great vacation! We already have 2 Polynesian resort drawings, and we bought a new one the other day! It's so cute! It shows the backs of Mickey and Minnie, they're in Adirondac chairs, and they're on the beach, facing the castle. There's a tiki in the sand, and a coconut drink in the sand next to Mickey and the coconut has the Polynesian resort logo on it. I love it and can't wait to hang it.![]()
Love your report SeaSpray! We are so excited for our first stay at the Poly this fall! 2 ?'s....do you always stay CL? Do they offer the hula lessons by the pool daily? Thanks so much!!!

We just always happen to be someplace else at 6pm.
I guess this means we have to go back again some time.
(You reading this, John??? LOL)

We saw who we think might be the new lounge chef; a younger man named Anthony. He was overseeing all of the food offerings, making sure things were filled, presented properly, etc. Now, I have to say that there were 2 older women working along side of him who.... how shall I say this........very not refined at all. They were questioning the chef on certain things, asking questions of him that I didn't feel were appropriate. Also, last evening we were standing near the food offerings when Chef Anthony and one of these women were working behind the food counter.... All of a sudden the woman says "Fireworks in the daytime?! What's that all about?!?! Why would they do that??? Who can see fireworks in the daytime?!?!??!" Chef Anthony was politely trying to explain that it's most likely the castle show that performs a few times a day... I was just observing all of this....but when she said "Who can see fireworks in the daytime anyway?!?!?" I smiled at her and said "Well YOU just saw them, and you're all the way here in the lounge".
I am not normally the kind of person to give a wise-guy remark like that, but for someone who on the job as Disney, and her tone of voice as if those fireworks were the most stupid and ridiculous thing on earth, it just sort of came out. LOL
Anyway, she and the other older woman were harmless, but just definitely not at all professional, even in a casual manner. They were not offensive.... just hard to explain their unusual behavior. LOL
Ron met him and we also spoke with Anthony when he was on duty. Anthony is a nice kid and had really hoped to get the position, but he probably lacked the requisite experience to head the lounge.

Love hearing about your trip SeaSpray! Gets me excited to be back "home" at the Poly soon!!

It's a definite...not just a maybe!!! We talked to my parents yesterday and asked if they would like us to take them to Disney again.....and what do you think they said?? YES! I was a bit surprised, they are missionaries in Mexico, and sometimes it's hard for them to get away. They love it more than us (probably because of the grandkids
) Now....y'all take a look at my ticker! We have a dilema within the family
GF, Poly, or BC. Our DS9 saw the SAB on our last trip and he said that is where he wants to stay. DD4, for some reason, wants to stay at the resort with the 'pretty red roof' (GF) and 'beautiful white walls'. My dad and I would love to return to Hawaii rooms 1506 & 1507 of the Poly and sit on the patio each night watching Wishes!!! We've stayed at the GF, and love it, but not the BC. We do like trying new resorts, also. Who knows??!!!
So afraid that if we try the BC, I will be disappointed. It's nothing like the Poly! Thanks SeaSpray I really enjoyed your review! Sounds like Im gonna have to buy that picture you bought sounds adorable and a perfect way to commemorate our dream anniversary trip to the Poly in Sept!
I wish we could ALL go with each other on our trips!!![]()
Your TR helps bring it that much closer for us. Here's hoping your post-Poly trip days are filled with sweet memories of your visit until the next time.
i cant wait
We've always stayed in value/moderate, so we know THIS trip is going to be a treat!
Just added my MIL & nephew to our reservations yesterday & they were able to get 40% off also. They are kinda griping about $2k each (for 9d/8n w/ Dining at the POLY!!!!!!)
I'm like "Get a GRIP people! This is the POLY for crying out loud!!!!!"

I'll add it to my list (if I can remove myself from soaking up the rays by the pool...)We have a dilema within the familyGF, Poly, or BC.
