Oh, I wanted to post this for those who think it might help to see the slide "in action" so to speak. This is video from our trip in February of my son waiting to go down the slide and my husband sits down after he goes and videos himself going down the slide. It was cold - hence the shorty wetsuit that my son is wearing! He was 8 and had to lie down, but my 5 and 6 year old girls were both able to sit up while going down the slide and LOVED it!

Sara

THANKS!!!! My DD LOVED watching it....over and over!!! :happytv:

Are all of the garden View Club rooms located in one longhouse ? If so which one and what are the views? Are there any views of the main pool or the beach from Garden View Club rooms? Thanks!

i cant wait till im at the poly i love it its my favorite hotel i cant wait for the monorail

I got the best email, from the Poly IPO...yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Less than 90 days now until our trip! I have most things planned, but will be contacting them to help me a little surprise for my family.

We are all so excited,, I can't wait! :goodvibes

hey were guna be there the same time as you!

Not to be a post hog, but we have rented a car from the Car Care Center before. It was very easy and quick. We called for a pick-up time of 8:00 a.m. and the shuttle was there timely. We were at CCC in a matter of minutes and on the road inside of half an hour. Return was the same in reverse, very quick and efficient.

Thank you very much! :goodvibes Do you remember how far ahead you called for your pick up time? Was it the same day or do you schedule that when you book the car?

Sara

IIRC, we called the night before our pick-up time and you're welcome!

Nope, there are GV rooms at all of the longhouses (other than the suites building).

GVCL views are of the quiet pool with a sideways view of the walkway to the volcano pool--in other words, not much of a view. Beach views are all on the front side of Hawaii LV or TPV.

Is there a cost for the vests at the marina? I thought about packing some, but they are so bulky.

No cost! As I mentioned, we brought ours the first time, mostly so the kids would be comfortable in the pools, have something they were used to. We drive down, so the packing wasn't a big issue. By our second trip, neither normally used a vest, but, as I said, we thought one would be a good idea for the slide. I was pleasantly surprised to know we could just sign one out for the entire week!! I thought we'd have to go get one each time.

*Subbing*

We are in the process of switching from BC to the Poly for our weekend whirlwind trip in October. I'm running the Half Marathon. We'll be in a garden view room; I just asked my TA to request a monorail view! :cool1:

I am officially beginning to panick. :scared::scared::scared: The trip is only two weeks away, and I feel like I am not ready. Yes, I am ready to be on vacation but i still have items on my list that i have not checked off on my packing list.

I am acting like a crazy person,I know! Does anyone else get anxiety as the departure date to WDW gets closer? I know this will be the trip of our WDW dreams, and it is our first stay the the Poly, but I am beginning to feel overwhelmed with excitement and apprehension. Crazy, huh?!

I do get alot of anxiety. I put alot of planning, preparation, packing into our WDW vacation. I am already feeling a little anxious. This is our first time at the Poly too, so that also adds to the feeling. I try to remember that there is nothing I can't buy if I forget it at home. I also try to not have HUGE expectations, that way I am disappointed easily.

You will have a great time!

Has anyone ever rented a car from the car care center at the MK (the Hess station just inside the MK parking lot)?

We are heading there for a work conference and won't need a car the whole time, so we thought getting one there might work well.

Any idea how long it takes for the shuttle to come pick you up at the Poly and take you there and vice versa? Thanks!!

Sara

I am also renting a car from the CCC on our last day of WDW, then returning it to MCO after staying in Key Largo. A friend of mine said that you can also take a cab to the CCC from the Poly. She said it was quicker than the shuttle as her shuttle made numerous other stops before stopping at the CCC. She said the cab ride was about 5 min, super quick and easy.

Your video is AWESOME! My kids are daredevels and were nervous that the Poly slide would be tame like the slide at AKL. This slide looks to be right up their alley.

Makes me so excited for our stay:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Awesome slide video!! I took a similar video on the slide at CSR....i'm 23 but I can't wait to try this one out!!

I have to share my excitement somwhere! :yay:

They just announced the Eat to the Beat line up and Rick Springfield is scheduled to be performing while we are there :banana::banana:

I know I am so square but I used to LOVE  him in my tween years! I saw him on Oprah and he hosts a cruise every year for all his fans and I joke all the time that I am going to go on it one of these days!

I know from past years the schedule changes a bit so I am hoping this does not!

Since he will be there the day we arrive we will go take our traditional walk down Main Street and see a few things at the MK and then hightail it over to EPCOT for some Jessie's Girl! :dance3:

Ok...back to Poly talk...I just had to tell someone!!:goodvibes

Let me know if you do the Rick Springfield cruise and I just might join you. I still like him and of course I loved him as Dr. Noah Drake on GH.
