Okay....I have to share my news :yay:....just received our packet from Disney with our luggage tags :woohoo: It's sooooooo close we can hardly stand it. This will be our first Poly stay and first CL stay :dance3: I can honestly say that DH and I are more excited than the kids....we are hopelessly addicted to WDW!

You will LOVE :lovestruc Poly. We did WLV last year and are booked at BLT for this August but I ALWAYS make a trip over to Poly; it's by far my favorite. Our '08 was perfect ... ground floor, patio opened to quiet pool...a 30 sec. walk for a swim...wonderful! Make sure you try the Pineapple-macademia pancakes at Kona. They are to die for :worship:. Have my nephew and his new wife (they were married at Disney 12/31/09) hooked on them too! Have fun.:tink:

I get to do online checkin tomorrow. :cool1::cool1: This is our first stay and I am beyond excited. I'm going to move the luggage from the garage to the family room to start packing. I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!:banana::banana:

You haven't packed yet?! :scared1:
Wow, I don't know if I would be able to not bring the luggage out that close to our trip!

OMG....I am getting closer and closer to spilling the surprise to my DD!!!! party:

Although every time I ask her about vacation (we told her we are going to NC) she talks about going to DISNEY! :scratchin I guess when we DO tell her the reaction may NOT be as spectacular as I was hoping.

Oh my, I'm with you. I guess to my shame, I took out the luggage Easter night (after everyone left) We still have 18 days and I am about 95% packed. The luggage is not closed and neither is the garment bag so things won't wrinkle. I keep a running list of things packed and those things needed to be packed with "color coding" :rotfl: It's all the same color when I am done. Since we have an owners locker I don't need to do the medicine/make-up bag which is a lot of help.

Amen, sister!! I'm having a hard time not packing NOW!! :rotfl: I'll be really excited at the end of the summer to pick out the warmer weather items we can still wear in December at Disney. Lame? Probably, but I know I'm among friends. ;)

I'm working on doing most of the suitcase packing today. It's hard without the kids knowing. Plus, it's been warm and they have wanted to wear some shorts and things so I need to make sure that I pull the outfits for them to wear here until Tuesday so I can make sure the packing things stay clean.

What do you do with your tickets when you are at the parks? How do you keep them with you? What have your stroller experiences been? I'm starting to feel last minute overwhelmed.

I keep all of our tickets in a zippered compartment in my bag (Hayes bag).

Our only stroller experience was with an umbrella stroller last year for DD5 (she was 4 at the time). It was very convenient - were able to gate-check it for our flights, folded up to carry on WDW transportation, and so useful when she was tired or when we were in a rush. It would have been nice to have the carrying capacity of a regular stroller, but I can't imagine what a pain it would have been with transportation, fighting through crowds, etc.

Have a fantastic trip! So exciting to be only a few days away!

I got a card holding lanyard. It holds our tickets and my disney visa along with about $100 in cash. I like the idea of keeping everything close to me.

We got back Tuesday night - and sorry I haven't posted before now - when we got back to Michigan I found that Spring (glorious Spring) had arrived so I've been waist deep in potting soil. :goodvibes

I already miss the Poly and can hardly wait for next Spring Break so I can go back. Next time I'll get that GV Figi room I'm lusting after for sure! :thumbsup2 Although I liked the AKL CL better than the Poly's (I know - blasphemy!) my heart still belongs to the Poly. :lovestruc

Minnie&Nana, looks like your best bets for LV are Tahiti, Hawaii, and Tuvalu. For TPV, the same looked good. I took a lot of shots, and posted a few of them over on my LTR for you, but I have more to post. ;)

Now I have to read from page 22 onwards to catch up with you all - you guys post A LOT. :goodvibes

Welcome back, Karen!! So happy you had a wonderful trip! Thank you so much for sharing it with us and all the pics you posted...and, of course, for checking out possible Longhouses for us!

Can't wait to see more pics. So it's Figi for you next time?;) It is hard to beat that for a GV- just wish the halls weren't so narrow - guess I'm very spoiled by the spacious hallways of the "newer" blgs...and those lovely seating areas outside the elevator.
(I sound like a broken record.:rotfl:)

I use a plastic zipper pouch that I attach to a lanyard, but this year I have to get a shorted lanyard, I got a long one last year and I didn't like it hanging that low

Nope, haven't started packing yet. Maybe it's because I was in the military but I can pack well and It doesn't take forever. I have a list and I have been marking things off as I purchase them. I know what I'm taking so I'm not stressed at all. Heck, I just booked airfare the other day:thumbsup2

:surfweb:Can't wait!!!! First trip back to Poly since the late 80's with my parents! May 28 - June 4!:cheer2:

Also, created my banner but confused on how to add it to my post?

I'm the same way. Only I grew up in a military family (21 yrs of military life), so it's all about a list, checking things off as things are bought, then again as I pack. I love packing, thank goodness not stressful at all. :thumbsup2

I love packing, too. :goodvibes

I don't use a list but do keep my 311, first aid and toiletries bags packed at all times. Clothes, shoes, jackets, etc. are easy and fun to do in the last few days when the spirit moves me. :cool1:

Me too! :goodvibes

Me too! That's why I can't stand to wait until the last minute ... it's part of the fun of the trip. I too use lots of lists and I always have travel stuff stashed away in my trip box.

I know what you mean! My kids ALMOST get tired of my supper time conversation topics!

Our dinner conversations usually end up revolving around Disney. We even have our kids programmed now so when a Disney commercial comes on TV, we all stop and watch :happytv: My son especially loves the new one with the dad riding Dumbo by himself :rotfl2:....my youngest DS thinks it's DH. Of course I can so see my husband doing this. Only someone who loves WDW, would appreciate the commercial......5 more days and I can officially say "ONE MORE MONTH" :cheer2:

I have started "getting ready" to pack. That involves making many lists, buying snacks, travel size stuff, pulling out sunscreen, swimming stuff, etc. My only problem is I think I really overpack because I start too early and always end up sticking things in the suitcase "just in case" we need them!
