I am in NC an have been buying Powerball tickets for that same reason and now they sell Mega Millions here too! I think if I won it might be more than 3 times a year:rotfl:

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Do they still offer the childrens menu with chickne nuggets, mac n cheese, fries?

Yes, it is not on the menu, but you can request a kids menu. DD got the mac & cheese back in February, however, I had to ask them about five times and 45 minutes later before they finally remembered to bring it out! :scared1:

I may have to avoid this thread b/c I have too long of wait and it's killing me! Aug. cannot get here fast enough.

Try having to wait until November...UGH!!

We're December! I don't really mind the wait as I enjoy the anticipation, but for so many years we went in August when the kids were young, that no August visit to Disney just doesn't feel right.:sad2:

I miss those mornings at the Polynesian when the sliding glass doors would open in Tokelau and the August heat and humidity would hit us. Ahhh...but now we say "it smells like vacation" whenever we smell a hot and humid summer morning.

We will be there in less than a week! Can you tell me your favorite QS places to eat at each park? I would love to know what some good options are for each so I can plan a little bit ahead in case hunger strikes during our non ADR meals... Thanks!!

MK:
Pecos Bill's and Cosmic Ray's always seem to be near us when hunger strikes. Not four star food or anything, but something that pleases most.

EP:
We've only done CS at Electric Umbrella, but I've been dying to try some around the WS. We've just always had an ADR and didn't want to ruin our appetites. Well, wait, we've done fish and chips in the UK, and they were pretty decent. I hear GREAT things about Sunshine Seasons, though. Would love to try it this year.

MGM:
Aside from fries or a drink, we've never eaten CS here.

AK:
We always end up at Restaurantosaurus, which is pretty much Pecos Bill's for dinosaurs.

DTD:
In case you make it here, we LOVE Earl of Sandwich!!!!! Wish I had one now!

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich.

MK: Columbia Harbour House -- nice non-burger choices, including fish & chips
Cosmic Rays or Pecos Bill's -- good burger choices!
(or boat over/monorail over to the Poly and eat at Captain Cooks)

DHS: None recommended (tho I hear Starring Rolls is good and I may try on next trip)

AK: Flame Tree is good, very popular - then again, not many choices at this park

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons - great variety, pretty good value; again, very popular place, very crowded

Seems to be a trend here...:)

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe or Columbia Harbour House (my personal fave)

Epcot: Electric Umbrella or Sunshine Seasons (lots of options)

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary for lack of a better option.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue - LOVE

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich

In almost 30 years we've never stopped at Casey's for a Hot Dog in the MK, but always want to when the piano entertainer is there...it's just not a convenient place to stop and definitely not when it's hot!

Also, as PP mentioned a water launch to Capt Cooks or another fun and different option is the water launch to Ft Wilderness then get the Fried Chicken Box Lunch and eat on the porch in a rocking chair..heavenly!

I think we must have similar tastes! I would add Sunshine Seasons for Epcot and Earl of Sandwich for DTD. DHS is lacking in good CS, imo.

How exciting! Here are our recommendations:

MK: Pecos Bills / Casey's [I think they put 'crack' in the hot dogs! :lmao:]

EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons [great for breakfast too!]

AK: We only do the Kusufuri Coffee Shop & Bakery here.

DHS: ABC Comissary

Okay....I have to share my news :yay:....just received our packet from Disney with our luggage tags :woohoo: It's sooooooo close we can hardly stand it. This will be our first Poly stay and first CL stay :dance3: I can honestly say that DH and I are more excited than the kids....we are hopelessly addicted to WDW!

Sooo exciting! I can't wait to receive our little package ... in about 6 months!

Doing a little happy dance of my own tonight...just booked our airline tickets!

They are non refundable, so I guess there is no going back now!!!:cool1:

Now I just need to wait until June for my ADR window to open up and then wait for summer for (hopefully!) a really good deal to be announced...or I may find myself booted back to a moderate at dh's orders. Fingers crossed for a nice package discount!:woohoo:

We got back Tuesday night - and sorry I haven't posted before now - when we got back to Michigan I found that Spring (glorious Spring) had arrived so I've been waist deep in potting soil. :goodvibes

I already miss the Poly and can hardly wait for next Spring Break so I can go back. Next time I'll get that GV Figi room I'm lusting after for sure! :thumbsup2 Although I liked the AKL CL better than the Poly's (I know - blasphemy!) my heart still belongs to the Poly. :lovestruc

Minnie&Nana, looks like your best bets for LV are Tahiti, Hawaii, and Tuvalu. For TPV, the same looked good. I took a lot of shots, and posted a few of them over on my LTR for you, but I have more to post. ;)

Now I have to read from page 22 onwards to catch up with you all - you guys post A LOT. :goodvibes
