We will be at the Poly in a little over 3 weeks and have requested Tahiti. In the past we have stayed at CBR and have really enjoyed the resort, but the rooms were quite far from Port Royal. I was wondering how the overall size of the Poly compares to the CBR.

There is a grad night on one of the nights during our upcoming trip. I will most likely be back at the Poly during the fireworks so I will try to find out if you can see them from the beach and around what time they will be and let you know!

There is really no comparison between CBR and the Polynesian. CBR is sprawling and Polynesian is much more compact. The walk from the farthest building to the center of the resort is no more than 3-5 minutes, probably the lower end of that number if you walk normally. The walk to TTC is on the upper end of that time, perhaps a minute or so more.

We are driving because we didn't decide to go in June until January or February. The fares have been ridiculous. $300 p/p--not happening.

When we usually head down in June, we book our hotel in August-October and typically get airfare at great rates in October.

We are arriving for our first visit to the Poly in 9 days. 2 of our 3 girls think we are returning to Pop (we love Pop!). Can't wait to see their faces when DME pulls up to the Poly and we get off!

I think I've been preparing them so much for the huge crowds they might not realize it right away.

Anyway, I've been reading this thread awhile, thanks for all the info. It was easy to pass the time in between having to bail out my basement utility room from all the rain!

Congrats on your leaving soo soon!!! Be careful about going to the Poly! You are going to be hooked! Then you won't be able to go back to anything but the Poly! My wife and kids won't consider anything but the Poly CL! Ouch! I said this year, let's stay in garden view. They say I can stay GV they are staying CL! shows how much they love me!! :cry:

I am right there with you. I told my husband last night that he needed to start reading up on the restaurants otherwise I was going to choose them all. So far he stated he really wanted to eat at the Biergarten.

I have to make ADRs for our F&W trip in October on Easter Sunday. Problem is, we can't decide if we want any ADRs or just wing it with the food at EPCOT and counter service. Decisions, decisions. . .we will probably discuss it with finality on Friday night/Saturday since we are going to get some GORGEOUS spring weather!
