I dont want to read the whole thread, but this might have been covered before. At Captain Cooks if you use the electronic screen to order is that just for grill items etc. Do I have to do if for something like a danish, salad etc? TIA.

Haven't been to Poly yet, but I assume it works the same as at CR.

For a pastry you can just pick one up and take it to the register. For a salad: if there's one pre-made in the cooler you can just grab one and take it to the cashier. For a salad off the menu you'll have to order thru the touchscreen. HTH

Danish salad and bottled drinks are in a display case.. Just reach in and grab it. Then to the register

Items made from their grill and etc need to be purchased using their touch screen ordering system and that also includes Dole Whips because you get those cups from the Cast Member working the cash register. However items sold from their fridge like Salads and other dessert items can be purchased without using the touch screen system, because you just take them and then pay.

We were just there and had two sets of blanket and pillows. One in each closet

When we were there last fall we had two sets too and they were taking up too much closet space so I left them on the bed with a note asking Mousekeeping to please take them and when we came back they were gone.

If I had known Tess, I would have left one for you

As far as calling about issues from your room...I learned the hard way on our December 2008 trip to walk down to the lobby and speak to someone there instead of calling "front desk" on the phone. It may be a pain at the time but I think it will save you more aggravation in the long run:thumbsup2

Isn't the "front desk" really just a call center? I thought I'd read that a few times. So, your info has to make it through at least three people before you see the result. That being said, I've always had prompt (or near-prompt) service at all resorts. We had to have our fridge fixed (guess the Poly needs new fridges!!) at the Poly, our safe fixed at YC and a microwave brought to our room at the Poly, YC and BC. All were done within 30 minutes of our call (fridge taking the longest), but most were within 15. :thumbsup2

Most of the fridges break at the Poly due to people closing the cabinet doors and then the fridge overheats.

My trip starts tomorrow. I can't wait to finally see the Poly up close and try a Lapu Lapu :)

That's so exciting!! Me and my future hubby are honeymooning at the Poly as well GVCL in September!! :woohoo: You'll have to let as all know how it goes!! We thought about DxDDP too...seeing as we would probably do all signature dining but I think we've decided to forego the DxDDP for now ...just so then we'll have a little more flexibility in our days...Congrats on honeymooning at the Poly!

WHOOO!:woohoo: Cheers to our disneymoons! Yeah we decided to just go all out with the DxDP. But we are also arriving early and leaving late so it gives us an extra day to grub!

Congratulations! Hope you both have magical honeymoons! :wizard:

Awesome, another Philly person! Congrats on the upcoming trip! :goodvibes

Thanks!:) :thanks:

Yeah Philly! (Can't front though...Only came here for school:teacher: I'm still a New Englander at heart...a Mass. Girl to be exact!) :smooth:

Ps. Sry if I'm getting a little carried away w/ the smileys...but they are wicked cool lol

Quick Question: Any reviews of the In Room Dining for Breakfast from the Poly?
