Ijust saw my neighbors off for their first trip to Disney. They are staying off site, but I know they will have a great time. I am so jealous and can't wait to hear how their trip went when they get back. I also suggested for them to tour some of the resorts while they were there.

It's official!! Summer nightastic starts June 6th and ends august 14th anyone excited???:yay:

So, what is Summer Nightastic. I know it's a different parade and different fireworks, but is there anything else? Do you think the "Wishes" dessert party will be offered?

I'm excited!!

I am going to miss Spectromagic, though. I mean, it will definitely be cool to see the Main Street Electrical Parade, but it's just not a trip to Disney without hearing "On this magic niiiiiiiight..." It makes me tear up every time! I have so many memories of Spectro, so it not being there is a little disappointing. :sad1:

Does anyone know how to get tickers??? Is there a website for them? thanks in advance

If you click on someone's ticker it will usually link you to the site. I got this new one from the Dis site.

DIS now has new Ticker you can find at the beginning of any Thread list. Mine are the very brand new styles. They apparently add every day - good luck!

By the way, I realize it's the first time I post on this Thread. We will be going to the Poly on April 30, 2011 for 7 or 8 days, before a 4 day cruise on the Dream.
First time everything at WDW.
Like the Poly thread. Keep sharing infos, even tho we have forever before I go, it helps!
Oh, decided for the Poly because of a childhood dream, but has to be at the Poly since DD lives with disabilities and we need the monorail.

We arrived back late last night after 10 fabulous days at the Poly. It really was an amazing experience. We had a first floor room in Tokelau which was huge. It walked out to a nice grassy area for the boys to run around and play. As the weather was a bit cooler in the morning and evening, we didn't really use the patio but I could see it being really nice in warmer weather. We had four days of mid 60's, two days around 70 and four days in the mid to upper 70's. The only day we had rain was Sunday when we got caught in the monsoon at MK.

I was extremely impressed with Captain Cooks. For everything from a quick snack, lunch by the pool and a yummy breakfast, the food was fresh and delicious. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. The Tonga Toast and the Polynesian salad were my two favourites.

We really enjoyed the volcano pool and the boys LOVED the slide. While it was a little chilly for me to swim, the boys spent hours in the pool and played on the beach. It is a great set up, especially with yummy adult beverages from Barefoot Pool Bar!

Overall, it was a great trip and we really enjoyed being at the beautiful Polynesian. It is a fabulous place to stay!

Suse66, Sounds like you had a wonderful trip! I enjoyed reading your quick trip report! It was really helpful, especially the part about Captain Cookes and the Pool. Thanks for the great info!

I have been a bit busy the last few days, so I guess the tickers blew up? I had to get a new one!

Paid off our Disney vacation today! Now all we have to do is countdown the days!!!:cool1:

I am so darn excited thanks to this Polynesian thread. Here is our basic plan:

Day 1 Drive straight through arrive @ 6 PM and stay one night at the POR (we may have to stay there next time if no 40% code is offered so we want to check it out first)

Epcot - Future World + Dinner at Coral Reef
Day 3 - Ohana Bkfst
Animal Kingdom / Return early to enjoy Poly :cloud9:
Day 4 - Hollywood Studios / Poly evening :cloud9:
Day 5 - Crystal Palace Bkfst 8:05 pooh:yay::woohoo: (never been in MK before opening) Ohana dinner (return early to watch torch ceremony)

I love my early morning walks while staying at the Poly. Sometimes you feel like you are the only one there :cloud9:

Oh Breezysmom that is the way I would like to wake up every morning:cloud9:

:goodvibesThank You for sharing:goodvibes

Good Morning!

Breezysmom, beautiful pics - thank you!:flower3: Nice way to begin a Saturday. :goodvibes

Our first stay at the Polynesian "Village" was in 1982 (after CR in '81), then every year for several years - we've seen a few refurbishments and room designs. :) Tried to count how many stays, but lost count somewhere in the mid 1990's when we began trying other resorts - we've stayed at just about every Resort (except OKW, ALL Stars and CSR), but the Polynesian still feels like home. Very excited to be going back in December with friends - their first stay! :goodvibes

Fabulous thread! LOVE all the pics, especially room views.:thumbsup2
