Snowing here in Cleveland and a newsflash just came on the TV that there are accidents everywhere. A few weeks of decent weather and everyone forgot how to drive I guess!! Or, it's really icy? Spring, please come back!

We arrived back late last night after 10 fabulous days at the Poly. It really was an amazing experience. We had a first floor room in Tokelau which was huge. It walked out to a nice grassy area for the boys to run around and play. As the weather was a bit cooler in the morning and evening, we didn't really use the patio but I could see it being really nice in warmer weather. We had four days of mid 60's, two days around 70 and four days in the mid to upper 70's. The only day we had rain was Sunday when we got caught in the monsoon at MK.

Overall, it was a great trip and we really enjoyed being at the beautiful Polynesian. It is a fabulous place to stay!

I am so sick of this winter. We are heading into the teens overnight but are expecting high 60s by next week. The Poly thread keeps me from getting (SAD)Seasonal Affective Disorder!

We leave in 2 days... Although we don't check into Poly for another 8 day...

For those of you who have stayed in a Patio room while at Hawaii TPV .....do you ever find you have less privacy? Is there a lot of foot traffic outside of your room? I want to make sure I feel comfortable leaving my curtains open to enjoy the view as much as possible - so I am thinking that 3rd floor might be a better option (for me).

Yay, BreezysMom! What an awesome time of year to go! Honestly, if I could choose any time of year at all for a Disney vacation, that would be it! DD is in 10th grade and DS in 7th, and they don't get any days off around that time, so we are out of luck for several years. Those dates figure in to DH's and my "Ahhh, someday..." fantasy. Can't wait to read about all your plans.

All the parts would not click together...I will be miss you by a full week!

My TA worked hard to find availability with our bounceback along with our goofy schedule. It is not an ideal time for the Holiday decorations but MK will be decked out and hopefully Osbourn Lights will be happening. So it will be like Holiday lite....

we are soo excited!! I am just glad that they are not eliminating wishes all together!!

I am convinced they set those date for nightastic due to our itinerary! LOL!!

Since the TTC buses do not make any stops, e.g. another resort or Typhoon Lagoon, it may well be quicker IF you have timed it right.

A year ago, my husband and I went to TTC to ride the bus (after a stop at Lost and Found ) while our kids rode the bus to DHS from the Polynesian. We arrived just after they were through the gates even though we had to make the sidetrack to L&F.

This isn't mine, but I found a link to this post on the first page of this thread. The 1st floor patios are open. Your little ones could run off easily.

They are open, not enclosed by a railing or anything. However, in some photos, it looks like some are fairly well surronded by landscaping, very secluded. Ours on the east side of Tokelau, though, have been completely open to a grassy area, walkway pretty far away. Walking by some longhouses, in some areas the walkways are right near the patios, I don't think I'd care for that.

Here's a semi-decent shot of our patio in Rarotonga. It was surrounded by greenery, but there was a little spot where we could slip out to the quiet pool.

There are no buses to resorts from the TTC. Your best bet from the poly, is to catch monorail to magic kingdom, then take AKL resort bus from magic kingdom! The staff will tell you to go to DTD then catch a bus to AKL. DO NOT DO IT! It will take two hours to get there.

We are heading to the Poly in May for the first time. I've splurged for a TPV and an having second thoughts on my room request. I've requested the Tahiti longhouse, it looked so tranquil. A lot of posters say it'sawfullyfar from the mainhouse. With two small children, daily breaks to swim and Adrs for Kona and Ohana, should I request a different longhouse ? I realize I may not get it anyway, but ?? Thanks, I am so excited to be going !

We're planning on doing this to make our ADR at the Yachtsman. We'll come 'home' through Epcot and the TTC, though.
