Hello to Everyone,

This is my very first post ever although I have been reading for a while now. I want to thank all of you wonderful Poly lovers for teaching me all I now know.
Thanks to a wonderful PIN code, our family plans to return to the Poly this year staying 11/28 - 12/5 in CL TPV. This is our 3rd visit to WDW and our 2nd to the Poly.
We are all very excited and I check this thread nearly every day. I am completely hooked!

:welcome: :disrocks:

There's a wealth of info on this thread as well of the rest! Enjoy and happy planning!

We check out of the Poly and into AKL on 8/5. Looks like we'll just miss you?

Bummer! We'll be at the Doubletree DTD from the 4th and checking into the Poly on the 7th. We are going to do Harry Potter and Kennedy Space Center before we get to Disney.

This was just posted on another thread, and I wondered if anyone hear had heard this too!
"Toontown closing april 9th 2010?????!?!?
After sitting on the phone with disney for over 45min.
a nice CM's contacted the switch board and explained to me that they will begin closing toontown apirl 9th 2010! I called back 10 min later just to make to sure they had the same info.
After about 20min this time the CM contacted the switch baord and did confirm April 9th 2010!

Has anyone elese heard about this??????
This can not be right!!!!

If you would like to call for yourself the number i called is 1-407-939-7777.
I ask for parks, when the CM's picks up ask them to check with the switch board. Thats where the info came from.

Please someone say it isn't so.................................... "

If this is true, I'm thankful that we got lots of pics when we were there for New Year's this past Jan.

yes it is true! They will be making an all new area with fairies and princesses and all! Looks like it's going to be really cool!

Although I was aware of the expansion, I didn't realize that Toontown was closing so soon. I had thought it was closing in early Fall 2010.

Nice to see someone with more kids than us. Since we discovered the joy of adoption (after 3 biological), I'm not sure when we will stop.

Some of ours are also adopted. We are also legal guardians to one, and longterm FP's to another. Everytime, I order new bunk beds from Costco, my Dh gets very nervous:eek: I suggested that now that we have one DS, maybe we should start balancing the #'s. :scared1: lol

Too bad. I was hoping for one more Barnstormer ride. Oh, well, I can remember fondly my DS7's first ride on a roller coaster and the joy on his face!

Oh No! I thought it was closing in the fall as well! I didn't go through Toontown back on my 2007 trip. DW and DD was really looking forward to seeing it. :sad1:

Yeah, my DD will be bummed-- she loves the Barnstormer. I'm also surprised at how soon it is closing.

OMG! No Barnstomer??!! Really?? Is it ALL of ToonTown??? Wow! I can't believe they are closing it. When is it scheduled to reopen? My 2 little ones will be sooooo disappointed....the 8 year old son, not so much.

I read a while ago in another thread that the barnstormer will remain, but that it is being rethemed to go with the new Dumbo attraction. Apparently it's going to have a clown theme. I hope the imagineers are very careful with that one ... lots of kids (and adults!) are scared of clowns! :scared1:

Since the construction is going to take a few years to complete I was hoping that they would keep the barnstormer up and running as long as possible since it's DD5's favorite ride. I wonder if it will be closing with toontown and how long before it's return.

Interesting that toontown is closing so early. All the information that has been put out by Disney said sometime in the Fall of 2010.

We knew the Barnstormer would most likely not be there our next trip so on our last night during our most recent trip DD and DH rode it over and over and over....10 times in a row. They had a blast! They said their last good byes to Toontown. :sad2:

There better not be a clown anywhere around the MK...I have deep clown issues :scared1: I won't set foot in the Boardwalk or near that creepy pool. :lmao: There was a whole thread about the BW pool that totally validated my clown fears. I am not the only pathetic clown hater :lmao:

I am not a huge fan of changes myself but in the end, I am sure the new Fantasyland will be incredible! :wizard:
