bethclayton, I used to work out in King of Prussia! And I still visit the mall there regularly. Once you've shopped at the KoP mall, everywhere else just seems *blah*. Have you been in the Disney Store at KoP so much they know you on a first-name basis and when your next trip is? They're so great over there.

You know, as a Philly fan I should be kinda annoyed but I only follow football. And there were so many Philly folks at the Poly in August one year that it was amazing. Philly represented along with all the green Eagles jerseys.

Thanks to everyone for the great advice!! Im thinking if we have to downgrade we'll go with WL ... but im scrimping and saving every penny for the Poly!! It's always been a dream to stay here and I doubt we will again (until we have little ones that is) ...c'mon pixie dust!!!

I noticed on your ticker that you wanted to stay Poly CL. Just my two cents, but I would personally drop the CL and stay at the Poly. Of course, you are on the Poly thread so you'll get the Poly lovers here

And as for waiting until you have kids
well, it is MUCH more expensive - believe me!

It seems they have changed the poly music loop. So not the same loop at all. May dissapoint some but I think it great! I will check boutiki for you guys for new merchandise and let y'all know.

Whoa. This is major news for me. The Poly loop is my happy music and I think I may be addicted to it. Is the new loop similar in feel, if that makes sense? I really hope it's got that same happy/relaxing/traditional vibe.

Non club-level longhouses with TPV rooms are Aotearoa, Tuvalu and Tahiti. Each has its advantages. Tahiti is very close to TTC but further away from GCH. Rooms are slightly bigger, all rooms have either patio or balcony, and bathrooms have double sinks. Tuvalu is right over the water and close to GCH. Aotearoa is set back from the lagoon but has a large, quiet grassy area in front, very pretty. Also very close to GCH. Have you checked out www.tikimanpages.com ?

Check out the Dolphin and Swan too - if you're a government employee, nurse or teacher, you can get a mad discount! I'm a teacher and we're paying 149 a night in July! In November of last year I paid 129! It's an awesome discount for a gorgeous resort! Hope you don't have to downgrade, but there are so many great choices if you do!!! Good luck!!!

Not sure if anyone answered this yet but yes, there is indeed a microwave in Captain Cooks. Folks use it to heat sandwiches and pop popcorn.

HAHAHAH! That's awesome. She should definately not be ashamed about being scared of ToT! It took my DD a long time to get the nerve up too, it's pretty frightening! But I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!

I certainly don't want to hijack the thread but would love to know...if you ever can't stay at the Poly scared1 where do you stay?

The only reason I ask is that there may be a small chance that we'll need to downgrade if we don't have enough $$$ in our disney honeymoon registry...

I would love to know what runs a close second to the Poly...

Our two favs are Poly and WL, they are different but I love them one for the South Seas feel and the other for its feel of the National Parks.

Asking for a microwave before you arrive is wasteing your time. Microwaves are limited and on a first come first serve basis and kept by mousekeeping. Just dial mousekeeping when you get into your room and ask for a microwave. If they have one, they will bring it to your room and plug it in for you. We have always had great luck with getting a microwave.


*IF* they are out of microwaves when you call, call again the next day(and so on) as someone using one may be checking out. There is a microwave in CC's you can use until a microwave becomes available.

1. Our room is already assigned right? (just might not be ready)
2. Do the CM's know that we used a pin to get a discount?
3. If we don't put on our ressie that we want a floor or balcony do they automatically give that ressie a second floor if it's open?

Attempting to help you out:

1. Yes, your room will be assigned and may or may not be ready when you check-in.

2. Not sure whether or not they know you used a pin for the room rate, but doubt it really matters to them.

My guess is you are thinking that you would receive a "lesser" room if you paid a lower rate. I have never had that experience at the Polynesian and 95% of the time we have an AP or pin rate.

3. I'm not sure anyone outside of the Polynesian could answer exactly how room assignments are determined when there is no stated preference. If you are displeased with your room assignment, check back with the front desk and inquire what else might be available. We have always found the CMs quite helpful.
