Just wanting to see my ticker XD Am I inside nine months yet?!?
How comfortable is that futon to sleep on? Bringing my two teens DS17 will be 18 the next month and DD14, I plan on them taking turns on who gets the bed who gets the futon.
Also will mousekeeping put the futon back in its upright position or should we plan on doing it ourselves? Not sure since we didnt use it last yr. We are in the Hawaii building if that makes any difference.
If the daybed is open when turndown service comes they also prep that for you and leave a little chocolate on the pillow.
Ok.. Guess I will have to irritate my DH and DS to put up the futon each morning..I cant help it Im OCD and like everything in its place, even in our resort room..LOL
If you move your trip by one day it is available for theme park view or if you can change your dates to a week or two later there are tons of options open. That is when we are going.
Date Rate per Night
Sun, May 08 $ 354.00
Mon, May 09 $ 354.00
Tue, May 10 $ 354.00
Wed, May 11 $ 354.00
Thu, May 12 $ 354.00
Fri, May 13 $ 369.00
Sat, May 14 $ 369.00
You're not alone in that one! I have a friend that lives in Orlando and visits us on every trip. I ALWAYS end up cleaning up his messes and his clothes that he likes to leave piled on the floor. I have on occasion ended up doing laundry for him too. Don't make a mess in my room!!!

I do know they don't leave it messy. If they don't put it up during the cleaning, you could do that upon your return.I just came accross a fairly new thread on pool hoping!! It has disneys policy and procedure! Not to sound like an stuff shirt... But now that I know the policy I am going to report all the cooler carrying kids changing non guest to the lifeguards!! Read this and help me out on this quest. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2450438
. . .all bets are off.
Amen to that!! I shared a room with my friend and her daughter on this past trip. Never again. I cleaned that room daily!!! I love her, but I could never live with her!![]()
Thank goodness when my other friend comes he only stays a night or two. I think he plans on staying with us longer this time. If that's the case, he will be given a list of rules before I check him in and he gets a key!If that's true wouldn't they also be added to the list of pools which DVC members can't even swim at, because what's the point of having wrist bands to keep out guests who are not allowed to swim and still allow DVC members?I read in another thread earlier today that poly has gone back to using wrist bands to keep this from happening though... not sure on how legit this is... but I'm all for it!![]()
That's why I tell one of my good friends that if she wants to go to Disney with me she HAS to get her own room, which is probably why she has yet to go to Disney.Thank goodness when my other friend comes he only stays a night or two. Just don't tell Disney that. Even my two were annoyed after a while. Guess they're used to my OCD ways.
As of right now Sept 20-28, but I've been known to tack on an extra day or 2 as it gets closer lol especially since I will be staying at my dream resort for the first time.![]()
I'll be there with my two and the grandparents. If that's true wouldn't they also be added to the list of pools which DVC members can't even swim at, because what's the point of having wrist bands to keep out guests who are not allowed to swim and still allow DVC members?
It was nice on the room cost, but I'll pay double the price to keep my sanity and order.Just don't tell Disney that. Even my two were annoyed after a while. Guess they're used to my OCD ways.

I just saw this response! We'll be at WL the 25-27 and the Poly the 27-2. Maybe we'll run into you and your uber-clean self!!I'll be there with my two and the grandparents.
It would be great if we ran into each other!Ok.. Guess I will have to irritate my DH and DS to put up the futon each morning..I cant help it Im OCD and like everything in its place, even in our resort room..LOL
As for folding up the daybed, I would probably wait until after you got back in order to put the bed up if you want mousekeeping to clean it. The reason I say this is I assume the people before us in our room closed theirs after each use and when we checked in and opened ours for the 1st time there was a muddy shoe print on the bed.
I would prefer that the bed be serviced and then close it up when we were back and using the room, otherwise I'm not sure mousekeeping bothers to check it.You're not alone in that one! My kids take turns on the daybed - they actually fight over who gets to sleep there so we have to take turns. I could have sworn they put the daybed upright when they cleaned it but maybe not??I do know they don't leave it messy. I read in another thread earlier today that poly has gone back to using wrist bands to keep this from happening though... not sure on how legit this is... but I'm all for it!![]()

I wouldn't have a problem with DVC members using the pool...isn't that one of the cool perks of being a member? Do members have some type of ID? Couldn't they just show that for a wristband?
Well Stromalong Bay at the Yacht Club and Beach Club is the only pool that requires their guests to wear wrist bands and doesn't even allow DVC members to pool hop over there, along with the pools at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Bay Lake Tower. So based on that if the Polynesian was giving wrist bands to their guests I assumed they would follow the same rules.I wouldn't have a problem with DVC members using the pool...isn't that one of the cool perks of being a member?
