I am only 42, I swear! But last week I got sucked into an episode of "Murder, She Wrote" and I only got to see the first half, so I don't know who the killer was.
It was a 1996 episode. The premise was this: There was a programming change at a San Fransisco radio station. It was going from all-talk to some "shock jock" type of stuff in the AM. One of the DJs (David Ogden Stiers) was of course Jessica's good friend. The new guys were a shock jock named TT Baines, his programming director Russ, and they had help from a woman who was romancing the station owner. They had done this in several cities on their way "up"--the woman would date the owner, get the guys into the station, they'd stay a while and then move on to a bigger market.
The woman, though, had fallen in love with this owner (who was Robert Pine from CHIPS) and didn't want to leave this time. Russ, the PD, threatened to expose their whole past. Of course there were many other suspects--the station salesguy heavily in debt to the station, the sales manager who had inflated the guy's expenses for him and was being blackmailed by Russ, Jessica's DJ friend, the promotions girl, the son of the owner who didn't like the format switch...yada yada yada. About halfway through Russ got run through at his apartment with a fireplace poker and then I had to LEAVE!
Tell me that there is a MSW expert here who can tell me who the killer was in this episode!!
