I love your fan! I've never noticed them before, so clearly, I need to spend more time shopping at WS.
Your trip sounds like a lot of fun so far, but I'm sure it was hard to be there without Henry.
There is soooo much to see in the World Showcase, I always see something new!
Actually, since the trip was so short I didn't really miss the boys-I think if we hadn't been there in Feb/March for such a long trip that it would be a different story though, or if the trip was longer. On the last day I wasn't sad to leave-I was just fine with going home, that was a new experience!
So what's the deal with the caramel shop? Why is it not authentic? Bummer.
Your WS photos are both really pretty and pretty funny! You crazy kids!
I know, it's a shame it's not authentic! But....it's still so good, I won't be too upset.
Brook, I think that fan was a great find! I think we may need them in June! Ok, I need to hear the story on the candy shop in Germany. Even if it isn't legit, I love the caramel corn!
MeMom, they used to sell inexpensive terra cotta Tomb Warriors in the Chinese shop. We took them back to Baylor's Social Studies and Lang. Arts teachers on two different occasions since he studied about that in 6th grade. They thought they were such neat gifts!
I also picked up a book about the Tomb Warriors from our book fair. It was a leveled reader. I wonder if we have the same thing?
Magdalene (who lives in Germany) said it wasn't authentic - not even close. Sad, isn't it?

But still delicious! There ARE plenty of delicious German treats they could have put in there instead, but I'm certain Werther's was looking to foot the bill...
That is SO cool about them selling Tomb Warriors! That is a very neat and unique gift.
" You are too kind! I think most anyone would have done what I did. I am a firm believer in the golden rule though - you should treat others how you want to be treated. If I was having a seizure, I would want someone to help me...know what I mean? It was such a scary moment though...I hope it was a once in a lifetime experience! "
Brook, I like to think that too... but I've been jaded by people just standing around saying "it's someone else's problem". How sad.
VERY sad.

I could never do that when someone is suffering.
awe, the world showcase. Such a happy place!
And you went to my favorite store of all: The Japan store
It is! Looking at my pictures again makes me want to be there right now! The Japan store is fantastic - so much to look at! It was nice to be in there and not be concerned about Henry grabbing something or breaking something.

Hey.. you're just as bad as me!! I hope this means you are busy busy busy!!!
I know! I've been terrible this month with TRs! But yes, busy and stressed! I hope to get back on track, starting today!
Not a dinner, but I hope to see it from afar or from getting lucky enough to find a seat. Jill likes it, too, but I don't know how well the girls would sit through something like that.
Yes, it was the leveled reader. Now to find what I have done with it.
I will have to look into the price of the souvenir warriors. I never have enough time to check out everything in World Showcase.
The one time we took Henry he did not sit well through it. We pulled out our entire bag of tricks. Coloring sheets, toys, a camera and more. He was a lot younger...I think he'd be even harder to handle at this age though!
Let us know if you find the tomb warrior! I would keep that on my short list of a gift to buy, so unique and fun.
