We went home (SSR) in May 2004 just before official opening for a three day stay, had an excellent time. There may have been a few rough spots, but it was the "soft opening" so some issues were to be expected. We were impressed with SSR and DVC.Now we are under 50 days to our next trip to SSR. After reading all the posts and opinions over the course of the past year, I wonder if I know what to expect when I arrive. Normally, I would think that after being open for a year, even though still under construction, DVC would have SSR down to a science. There appears to have been more negative responses or issues brought up about SSR than there is positive feedback. Maybe this is like any other media, negative responses garner more responses than positive ones. Or have we become the type of world that focuses more on the negative than the positive?
Hopefully what I have read on the posts will not cloud my judgement of SSR on the return trip. It almost feels like I will be getting my "first impression" of the location again.
Any thoughts ?
, but maybe you could do a search? but I can tell you that I loved it. I, too, was concerned when I 1st became a member, because I don't think I read one positive review on the place. As time got closer for my trip, though, I started thinking, why would I let other people's opinions, cloud me? A lot of things people complained about where things I liked-Artist Pallette, how ''quiet'' the place is, etc. Just relax, remember you're on vacation, and no one's opinion of SSR (or anything else) should matter to you, except your own!!
