Hi,
My wife likes to have warm almond milk to start her day and sometimes coconut milk. Does anyone know if these are available as well as do you think you could get them thru room service? I have my coffee while she has her almond milk and would like to enjoy them on the balcony each morning. Thank you.

I know they have Soy milk but not sure about Almond or Coconut. You can bring your own onboard with you but not sure how you would heat it up.

I have never been able to get almond milk onboard. Last cruise, I brought a few cartons of almond milk with me.

Yeah, I would recommend bringing your own (in your CARRY ON bags of course! those boxes can DEFINITELY break under pressure of piles of luggage), but I share MJ's uncertainty of how to heat it up. There are no microwaves, and DCL makes it clear that they will not heat up anything brought onboard. Room temperature might have to do it for the cruise.

A thought on how to warm the milk... I haven't been on a Cruise, yet, but I'm assuming there is access to hot water for tea? If so, fill a small cup/container with the milk and then set that into a larger cup/container of the hot water. Takes a few minutes but it will take the chill off of the milk. Another thought, both almond and coconut milk come in shelf-stable 8oz single serve boxes. Keep them at room temp and set the single serve box into a cup of hot water. Should warm up nicely.

I called to find out and I was told that they do have it on request. Maybe the people that say they dont have it, mean that they didn't see it out on display, but I was told to ask for it,
whether it be room service, main dining rooms or cabanas. I hope that information is correct because i have family members with allergies, we are counting on it.

Have you already noted the requirement for almond milk on the reservation? I'm thinking that "on request" means you've indicated that you need to have it onboard (prior to the cruise), not necessarily that they have it behind the scenes, waiting for someone to request in once onboard.

I'm glad you mentioned that! we will be "sunk" without it. You should hire yourself out as a consultant! You've been very helpful to me - thanks!

Thanks for asking this question. DD has a dairy free diet and she dislikes soy milk which tickles her throat. Glad to know that we can request it onboard. Hope the CM is correct this time. Should I make a note on my reservation just in case?

Thanks for all your help and advice! DISers rock!!

If you are dealing with food allergies you should be taking care of that as well now. NOT when you board.

"On request" must mean "advance request" and opposed to "onboard request", as I was unable to get almond milk at all on our Alaskan cruise last summer. I asked at the buffet, at the coffee bar, MDR, room service, and our Concierge Host, so I'm pretty sure everyone was telling the truth when they said they didn't have it.

Fortunately, it is just a preference for me and not a necessity, so it was no big deal, and I just brought some with me on our recent Eastern cruise.

Definitely have your TA put the request in.

How about soy milk? Just ask for it on board?
Yes, they do have it onboard, but we only found it in the MdR back in 2013. Maybe that has changed finally, but I was told to always call and have it put on your reservation if it is an allergy so that DCL can make sure they have enough to go around for all that need or want it. We will be doing the same as our daughter can't have cows milk.
