Allstars toilets?

I was just reading the other thread about Value resorts and it brought to mind the times I have stayed at them.

I had no problem with them except there toilets.
Every morning around 5 am. I would wake up because of the toilets flushing!

It had to be the loudest flush I have ever heard.

I could have probably gone back to sleep, but It would happen more and more often as the morning progressed.(my normal time to wake is around 6:30 - 7:00 am)

I know it is only an hour and a half earlier, but after a busy day at the parks and another one to go that hour and a half is gold!

I have never had this problem at a mod. or deluxe. I know the value cost less, but I have to go with a mod. just because of those "turbo" flush toilets.

Any opinions on this from anyone else.?

Am I just a light sleeper on vacation?

My husband was not bothered by this, but he has always woken up earlier then me.

when we were in Port Orleans this past april......the same thing occured......I then (on the second night) shut the bathroom door.....didnt' bother me the next few mornings.....wonder if that fixed it or was it because I was plum tuckered out......I would love to have a turbo flush in my house........

I noticed it as well and it was probably my only complaint about the AS resorts.

We also heard this at the WL and the Poly. The only resort that it wasn't a problem that we have stayed at was CBR.

They are like vacu flush toilets in a hospital and they are very loud. I had forgotten about them.

I don't know if it was because we were on the third floor or what, but we never heard them. I had heard the reports about loud toilets before we went to ASMu last year, but we had no interuptions in our room. Mickey

Those toilets at ASMo are a hoot. The first time each of my kids flushed the toilet, it scared the heck out of them. It was so funny!!

I can put up with those toilets in the All Stars which presumably have less sound deadening between rooms than other resorts.

You might find it less annoying if you close the bathroom door.

The toilet tank has a closed capsule inside that develops air pressure as it refills with water after a flush. This gives a pressurized water stream to improve the flushing action while using just 1.3 gallons of water or whatever the water conservation guideline is.

Yes, it is quite loud.

I don't quite remember the AllStar Music toilets being loud flushers, but on both of our weeks at that resort in 1999 and 2000, I do vividly recall actually hearing conversions and other noises coming through the bathroom plumbing at all hours of the night. No lie. If this happened only once or on only one trip I would not mention it here. It happened on both trips on multiple nights at AllStar Music, Jazz 9 building. I heard children crying and conversations through the bathroom pipes. It didn't have a major impact on our enjoyment of WDW, but it happened.

Hi I know just what you mean! We atayed at the CBR this past June. The toilet was so powerful, we all talked about it! We wish ours at home was that way. We had 2 daughters ages 8,9 in the room and it didn't bother them but we also had a 2 year old daughter in the room and at nap time and night time we could not flush, because it would wake her. (and she is deaf and wears hearing aids) so that tells you how loud it is. Jill

OMG!!! I forgot about those loud flushers!! Something else to look forward to when we return to ASMo in October. I'll have to remember to warn my parents about them . . . .

Do they have exhaust fans you can turn on? Normally in a motel, I will leave bathroom lite on for reference if DD wakes up in a strange place and the fan on for 'white-noise' so the TV doesn't bother me all night when DH falls asleep in front of it!!!
