I was thinking about getting a TiW card but it says allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Really?!? I know I can go to guest relations which I will probably end up doing. Just wanted to hear how long it took others cards to arrive. We don't leave until May 18th.

I haven't seen any posts about how long it took if someone ordered the TiW card in advance, but I don't think too many people actually order the it in advance because it is live as soon as Disney processes your order. They say allow 3-4 weeks just in case there is a problem or it gets lost in the mail. To ensure that it is valid for a full year, the expiration date is usually approx 13 months out (e.g. if you buy it on May 18 it will expire June 30 next year) which takes into account the 3-4 week delivery time. On the other hand, if you order it today (April 26) and Disney processes your order this week, it will expire on May 30 next year. To get the longest valid time most will wait until they arrive at DW before buying the card.

Wow that's new - I thought you could only get it at first relations in person. Cool!

If you order it today it will expire May 31. If you buy it May 18 it will expire June 30. Depends on when you want to use it next year.

Ok good to know! I guess I'll just wait to get it there. I just LOATHE the guest relations lines. Sooooo sloooow! I guess I'll go to Epcot. That seems to have the shortest GR line.

Sorry I meant to quote both of you on that reply. Lol

We have always gone to the Guest Relations booth at EPCOT at the International Gateway entrance. Have never seen more than a few people (if anyone at all) waiting there. We bought our TiW card there last time we needed to renew it.

When I bought my card a few weeks ago, MK guest relations CM told me to go to the Community Hall inside the park, which had no wait at all. I was in and out in 5 minutes, right at rope drop.
