I wish to thank everyone who rented points from me. Have a happy summer and Disney vacation.

Sorry to those who asked about points but I couldn't accommodate them.

I am a 1000+ point DVC member and I have a new allotment of points. I have numerous references, etc.

These points are not transferable. My home resort is SSR.

I cannot make reservations for any time after Oct. 2006 except at SSR. For SSR, I can make reservations up to Feb. 2007.

I have found that it is easiest if we make a joint conference call with Disney (the call is free) and then you can look at all the options and make the decisions with the correct information right from Disney. It eliminates any confusion and misunderstandings. Also, you will get the confirmation number right away and will know the exact number of points etc. immediately.

I will trust you to send payment only AFTER you get the oral confirmation number from Disney.

After I get the written confirmation from Disney (usually within 2 weeks) I will send you an email with a pdf of the written confirmation and I will send the original out promptly.

I will accept personal checks but you will need to send the checks promptly using some form of tracking (either US Postal service confirmation tracking or Fed.Ex, etc.)

I expect to be paid promptly in the following manner. 50% at the time you get the confirmation as outlined above and 50% when I transmit the pdf of the written confirmation which arrives from Disney (usually within 2 weeks). Please use some form of tracking so that this does not get lost on the way.

However, if your reservation is less than 60 days away, I will require that all checks and payments CLEAR PRIOR TO 45 DAYS before your first day at Disney

If it is easier for you, you can send me a post dated check for the other 50%. I will not cash it until after you have received the written confirmation noted above.

Looking to rent or transfer to me 140 pints to be used at OKW or SSR 6/8/06-6/17/06. I am a SSR member. Is it easier ti transfer point to me or rent???

Transferring points can be tricky. I would only recommend it if two people have both the same resort and the same use year.

Making reservations, while a pain, has its own simplicity. And, if the party buying the points doesn't pay, you simply cancel the reservation and get the points back!!

When you transfer points, you always have an issue as to whether the person buying the points should pay first or whether the points should be transferred first. Either way, once it happens, there is no going back and if someone wants to be dishonest, you have a big problem.
All in all, making reservations is more time-consuming but is "safer" overall.

I just checked on Thurs. There is absolutely nothing at BCV for all of May.

The month of May happened to be very difficult this year because there is some type of Breast Cancer Foundation event during the first week of May and the end of May is Memorial day weekend. As a result, the end of April, all of May and the first week in June got "squeezed".

Studios for you time period are rare, if available at all. When I checked on Thurs, all they had left were preferred one br. at Boardwalk (nothing at all in BCV, VWL) and scattered dates for studios at OKW!!. There was slight availability at SSR.

You should think about alternatives like SSR or possibly OKW. If you already have plane reservations, you may have to change rooms just to get something.

Anyone going during this time period should plan other options, esp. if they are thinking about BCV.

Apparently Southwest had some sort of special fare during May which explains the "SPIKE" in requests for May reservations.

This makes it even more unlikely that May is available!!!

I think that all people who are interested in May, esp BCV, BWK and VWL should expect that there will be very limited to NO availability for May and the first part of June.

Please make contingency plans for other resorts such as SSR and OKW.

I will post more info on Monday morning.

In order to confirm the reservation, you will need to email me the following information:

1) Complete names of all people staying and, for children, their ages.

2) Your address for mailing purposes

3) Whether you want smoking or non-smoking,

4) For transfers from the airport, (Magical Express) you will need the flight numbers and name of the airline (IMP. --> if you do not have this info now, you must supply this at least 2 months before arrival).

5) For the Disney dining plan, you need to make the reservation PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. You can pay when you arrive. The cost is $37.99 per adult and $10.99 per child PER NIGHT. Please check this but I think that all members of your party must participate and this must be for your entire stay.

May - Absolutely NOTHING in BCV for all of May.
June - Scattered dates for everything
July - Still scattered dates but weekends available No Studio or 1 Br until July 30
Sept - Studios generally available

Boardwalk,

May - No studios until May 30, 31.

VWL - No studios in May until June 1

OKW - No studios until May 29

SSR - Some avail for end of may, depending on length of ressie.
