Oh, I'm feeling awful! My allergies went crazy, literally overnight. I've got the normal allergy symptoms... Congestion, throat and nasal, runny nose, sinus headache, coughing, the whole 9 yards.. I've been taking the Tylenol Sinus, or Allergy, and it doesn't really work..I've only had one half dose though, so, that's probably why. But Any ideas on any way to help the aching pain?

My allergies were pretty rough this morning too. Maybe we are sharing some of the same allergens. Try taking the full does, if your body can handle it, and see if that helps you any. If not, switch around and try some other meds until you find the one that works for you.

Allergies suck! Mine tend to be at their worst this time of year. :confused3

::yes:: But mine last almost a month, out of the year..and it's about time for them..I"ve tried everything from Robitusson(sp?) YUCK!! to Tylenol Sinus.. :sad2: Thanks though. :) Prayers and Pd for us both!

Mine have flared up too. I got some Sudafed 12 hour Sinus. So far it seems to be helping.

Can you take the real Sudafed? I take it and ibuprofen (since it is cheaper than Advil Sinus) several times a day when my allergies are at their worst.

Have you tried Claritin? I got some last week to alternate with my Allegra and that seemed to help a little. Each night I take a Benadryl too.

If you end up with any sinus pressure alternate between a warm (or as hot as you can comfortably stand it) and a cold washcloth. That always helps mine.

Yep, plenty of prayers & PD!

Claratin works wonders for me. I would also suggest that you go to your doctor. I take Claratin, plus Flonase, and have an inhalor. My doctor didn't know how I was managing to breathe! I feel like a new person!

I can get away with an Allegra D 12 hour tablet once a day. I still take an 800 strength IBprofren everyday due to a knee injury earlier this year so I'm not feeling much pain. I am going to the doctor this coming Monday and I am going to get my prescription for Patanol refilled because that really works for my eyes. Also need to have my inhaler refilled but I only use it when I'm really wheezing. I hate this time of the year.

Mine have been terrible this season too but for the last week or so (knock on wood!) they've been great! I take either zyrtec (makes me tired) or the claritin D (also makes me tired  ). Even though they are supposed to be non-drowsy, that's not the case for me. I love fall but I hate the ragweed that comes with it! :guilty:

Last year I took Claritin...well a generic brand from Walmart. The pharmacist got it off the counter for me. I also told him about my high blood pressure meds,(I get my scripts filled at our Krogers, so nothing on file at Walmart). Anyway, it was safe to use with them. Any drug store should be able to help you, if you want their store brand. It really did help me. Hope you feel better soon.

Claritin didn't work for me one bit! I just woke up from a "nap" I feel about the same.. I may try Sudafed.

I've got fall allergies and hardly anything OTC gives me much relief. I started taking Nasonex in the beginning of August. It works!! I still have a little itchy eyes and a runny nose occasionally but I'd have to say my symptoms are about 90 percent less than before. In the past couple of years the spring allergy season has been really bad and I now (but never before) have similar symptoms. I hope the Nasonex works for that.

The only medicine that has ever been 100% completely effective for my allergies is Benadryl. There is a reason that it is the first choice med used in hospitals. ;)

I am prescribed Singulair now which helps me more than Claritin, Zyrtec, etc ever did, but it still is not as good as Benadryl. I keep a supply of Benadryl for when I really need it.

I've been so miserable with my allergies the past couple weeks. On top of those I caught the cold that's floating around my campus. Needless to say whenever the meds wear off I'm a sneezing, sniffly, hacking, watery eyed mess. I've been taking Claritin plus Advil Cold and Sinus the past couple days, and before that I was skipping the Claritin and just taking Benadryl at night, and taking the Advil Cold and Sinus for the symptoms. The Claritin doesn't work great for me, but it's better than going all day without any allergy meds before Benadryl at night. Benadryl works best, but it knocks me out. I've really got to see about getting into the doctors though, because my allergies seem to get worse every season. They told me to start taking Claritin Spring 2005, and that worked well for awhile, but hasn't been working very well since late last fall...

This morning I decided that I'm going to Wal-Mart and buying one of everything for cold, sinus or allergies.

::yes:: Benadryl helps me too, but I try my best to stay away from it, because of the high dose of antihistamine(sp!?) Because it knocks me out. :faint:
