Does anyone know if it is OK to ask mousekeeping to provide an extra thorough cleaning of our room (wash bedspread etc.) before we arrive? (I would be sure to find the mousekeeper who cleaned our room before arrival and tip generously). Last time we were in WDW my DD5 and I really had a problem with allergies. Mousekeeping did an "extra" cleaning and we were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. I don't want to be a nudge....but it really helped last time and I would love to avoid the problem before it begins. TIA

Call and ask them to note on your ressies that you need an allergy cleaning. Let them know if any cleaning products cause you problems and they will not use them in your room during your stay.

Yes, just call and let them know to note an "allergy cleaning " to your ressie. I do it for every trip. It's a good idea to confirm this just before you go as it is not always put on the ressie promptly!princess:

I wish I had know this before our trip last week. My DD age 32 has terrible allergies. Gets 4 shots every week. I would have paid anything extra for a deep allergy clean. I am glad you posted so I know for next time. Thanks!

Call and add it Now. Also, make sure it is done before you check in. We requested changing of sheets every other day because my DS has very bad allergies. We even requested a new shower curtain to eliminate the chance of any molds. Last year me assumed it was done and my DS woke the next morning with his eyes swollen shut :scared1: . One phone call and it was solved :thumbsup2

I thought I was bad with two shots a week! My dust mite allergy is so bad that I carry an epi-pen for it. I also have at cat-dog allergy that is pretty bad. My future SIL has two cats and I once went to her apartment for a birthday visit.....5 minutes and I started sneezing and swelling up. That night i woke up and could not breathe. It really scared me and I never had that happen before.:confused3

Good luck on the cleaning. I requested it and didn't recieve it. I took my own Lysol wipes and wiped down every surface I could. There was cheese stuck to the edge of the table. My children have very severe food allergies. We carry epis and benadryl everywhere we go have to be extremely careful of what we eat and touch. I was disappointed that our room wasn't given the special cleaning that we had requested, but we were given an upgrade to an inner courtyard view so I opted not to complain and cleaned everything myself. Everything worked out well and we still had an awesome time!

How much does it cost to have the "allergy cleaning"? This would be so worth it for our family. :)
