I'm trying to check fares for this, and I cannot get anything to come up on Allegiant's web site. I tried Feburary, January, December and September -- being sure to check the correct days of the week (outbound on Sunday and inbound on Friday, as per the flight schedule) -- seems like there are no flights, yet there are clearly flights on the schedule.

Does anyone know what's going on with Allegiant?

Yes, I had figured that, but then why can't I find fares for September?

Maybe their Sept flights are sold out? Long shot I know, but possible, since they don't have a ton of flights.

bicker ~ I have been on their website a couple of times and it is a little weird. I just went and looked up Worcester to Orlando and the flights were there. If you go under Reservations and then Book Airfare just be sure to fill in at the top again the airports because they disappear on the Book Airfare page and then you won't see any available flights because it doesn't know which airports you are looking for. I just checked flights for Sep 21 to Sep 28 Worcester to Orlando and they are there. They are accepting reservations through Dec 15. I am thinking about checking them out for Feb 07 instead of Manchester but I have no idea when they will open their schedule further than Dec 15.

My sister lives in Worcester and I remember talking to her about Allegiant. One of the reasons that she didn't even consider them was that they don't fly to Orlando every day. I think that they only fly 2-3 days/week. She is leaving on a Saturday and returning on a Sunday and Allegient didn't fly at least one of those days. Hope this helps.

Correction:
I just spoke to my sister they fly on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. With only 1 flight on each of these days.

I see flights in Sept from Worchester to Sanford but only on Sundays and Thursdays. I just let it pull up the dates that automatically pulled up on the site (July 22 to 25th I think). It said nothing available so I scrolled on the calendar menu to September. All flights are $99 one way. I looked into Allegiant Rockford to Sanford, but the flights days/times were too limited for it to work for me. It looks like the available flight dates end in the middle of December. November and December include flights on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Hope this helps!

I live in Worcester. It is true that they only fly on certain days of the week and the lousy part and the reason I would never fly them is that all the return flights are at 7:00 in the morning. I think this time totally stinks as I am told it is a good 45 minutes to the airport in Sanford and with a young child just does not work for me and I feel it is a waste of a whole day. It's too bad as the parking is excellent and the airport is very quiet normally. I wish they would change the flight times however and most of us here complain about this. I fly out of PVD which is great as well! Good Luck!

Allegiant Air announced yesterday in the local paper that they will discontinue service from Worcester on September 3rd.

The paper mentioned the reason as high fuel costs, but then noted the flights were averaging 90% full, so it appeared to be more than fuel costs entering in the equation. Allegiant had flown over 10K passengers out of Worcester in their brief tenure at the airport.

Obviously Allegiant knew awhile ago they were going to pull out of Worcester. I never got to try them.

Unfortunately- I did get to try them...You didn't miss anything worth being sad about.

My theory is they are cutting out of some of the routes because they were unable to provide on-time, reliable service that people would buy for more than one trip.
For us, they only got one chance- it was a miserable experience and I would never fly with them again.

My guess is that it was the lack of profitability that prompted Allegiant to abandon Worcester.

Well, that would make sense...I can't imagine they would pull up stakes if it was making money. Just wish they had been able to make a go of it. Looks like Logan and TF Green for me.
