I moved to Florida 55 years ago. I "love it" here. It has been great and life has been great. What would have happened if everything didn't go as well and a Hurricane came through and tore the state up and than I didn't move here. Who cares, something else good would probably have happened. I hope not to many people base their decisons on freak hypothesis.
Allegiant has repair facilities at Sanford and Orlando. The only time there is problems is when there is problems all around Central Florida and that is due to weather. So all flights into central Florida get held up or cancelled. I have never seen an Allegiant flight get cancelled that day because of mechanical problems. I have seen more flights get cancelled at MCO due to bad weather and hurricanes than Sanford. Actually bad weather, at either the departure airport or arrival airport, is the most common cause of any flights being cancelled. I know, MCO has over 200 flights daily compared to SFB 10 -15 flights daily.
