Allauni Waitlist

My fiancé and I just went to book using DVC points only to realize that our dates are booked up for 3-8 June 2019. We are on the waitlist for the Standard Room and the Island Gardens Room.

Any suggestions, tips, success stories we should know about? Thank you very much in advance!

When you say Standard Room, do you mean studio ora hotel room? There are only 8 hotel rooms on points. Standard, in general, is the smallest category and will take luck.

The hotel rooms/standard view and Island Garden studios go first. I suggest you consider a Pool view or Ocean View to increase your chances of getting the waitlist as it is highly doubtful you will get the hotel/standard room as there are so few. Plus so many owners for Aulani book in June when school is out and point cost is low that will be really hard to get the Island Garden view for a June reservation using a waitlist. Also like most DVC resorts the 1BRs are the last to book, so you might be able to book a 1BR when a studio or 2BR are not available.

I had to get two one bedroom units ocean view instead of a two bedroom ocean view unit for my june 15-21st trip. Logged on at exactly 7 month window and I believe I got the last two rooms open using points . Cost me 100pts more than I wanted but I had already booked airfare so it was either pay cash or accept what I could get. I check every day but all rooms are waitlisted 100% so do not think anything will open up . I have gone in past years and got a grand villa exactly at 7 months would no issues but even those were gone early.

Pool view may be your best best. I’d waitlist for at least pool if not ocean also. Avoid weekends if you can. Locals use Aulani for staycations.

No, because wait lists are not really linear. Every date you have in your request must match. Someone who waitlists a single day after you may match and you don't.
