Hey guys, I was hoping for a little advice.. I am going to be bringing DGF to Disney for the first time.. I havent been since 01 and have lost touch a little with all that goes into planning.. We are going to be there August 21-25 leaving on 26 so I was thinking something like this:

Sat Aug 21 - AM MK PM EC
Sun Aug 22 - AM ANK PM MGM
Mon Aug 23 - IOA/US
Tu Aug 24 - AM MGM PM EC
Wed Aug 25 - MK
Thurs - CRY
Fri - Depression
Saturday - Get pictures back feel better
Sunday - Come out of Disney Depression and unpack
Monday - work

What do you alll think?

Greg

On Sat. I would forget about MK altogether since the weekends are usually the busiest and I noticed that you were just doing EPCOT in the evenings on 2 days, usually Future World closes early and WS stays open later, so by going only in the evenings or late afternoons you probably would not be able to do all of Future World. Doing AK for part of the day and MGM in the later half is Ok since AK usually closes early anyways. But you will want to check on closing times of all the parks since I do believe they start closing earlier at that time of the year. Usually it is not all that busy since most people are trying to get their kids back into school, but it will be HOT and Humid still.:cat: :fish:

Thanks for the tips!!!

I am a little bit aware of the MK crowds on a saturday I just want to induct her in a MK kind of way.. but if its going to be miserable I can wait.. =-)

Ill have to think about that one.. good point on the closings..

I know what you mean about starting out at MK, that's kind of a tradition for us too!

I'm thinking that if you're willing to sacrifice the MK introduction on the first day, AK would probably be best on Saturday morning, then go over to EPCOT or MGM in the afternoon.

Also, were you planning to do both IOA and US in one day? That might be kind of tough to fit everything in. If you really want to go to both parks in one day, you might want to look at the attractions before you go and make a priority list so you'll at least catch the attractions that are most important to you. I can understand that it's tough to just choose one park since they have great attractions in both (esp. with the opening of the Mummy in US!).

I'll be a great trip! (Can you teach my BF to be more of a planner???)

Luvtigger:

I hope to hit just Mummy, MIB and T2 in US and head over to IOA for the rest of the day.. Hope I can fit that all in.. HOPE.. thanks for all the tips guys.. Tues Planning next trip will be a great idea:)..

LuvTig: theres hope for him yet have him give me call:)

And don't forget - Wednesday - write up trip report for Dis Boards!

In all of the times Ive been to Disney, Ive not fancied park hopping, or leaving to go back to hotel before done with that park. If you see everything you want in a park and still have at least 3 hours to kill, sure, move on, but I dont get the point to leaving before you are done. Also, last June was my 1st trip to USF, and it took us 3 days (not1) to see what we wanted, still not everything. Whatever you decide, HAVE A WONDERFULL TIME:earsgirl:
