All You Need is The Force, Trust and Pixie Dust! A May 2014 TR -- Updated 11/20

Hi Missy!

I just had to stop over here to read your TR after Danielle's endorsement! I am enjoying all the bits and pieces so far, including your selfies!:goodvibes

I am glad you had a stop at 1900 Park Fare! I've never been there and we have a March ADR. My DD is a true princess lover, and this March trip will be a definite surprise for her, we aren't telling and I hope to pull off a video surprise.

I am excited to read more of your report, and also have joined in on the "I Can Spot Frozen Fireworks Anywhere."

I finally caught up on this! I'm impressed with Franklin's mine train photos! I was able to get a few decent ones with burst mode on my iphone but it just moves so fast! We were able to ride it at night in the rain which was fun!

Love the updates! Amazing photos as per usual!! Love that we have the same love for that lady tremaine, she's so freaking perfect! Amazing pictures from inside mine train! wowza! And i totally agree that it's a completely different ride at night! We did it our first night in august and it's so awesome in the dark! I also found it to be more thrilling than the first time we were on it!

Can't wait to read more!

But you can program the song you want during the ride!!! One of my favorite ride experiences was listening to Rainbow Connection during a night ride speeding through a neon-lit Universal Studios and City Walk.

:thumbsup2

I tried, Franklin ;)

A valiant effort Dee. But no way am I EVER setting foot on that coaster. :sad2:

I absolutely love the Kingdom Keepers books! There are a few times where it might take awhile to make it through parts of the books, but I just had to remind myself that they are meant to be Young Adult books.

Haha, I'll have to give them a try!

You have the best shoes. These look like they glitter.

The stars on those shoes are a bit shimmery, thanks! :goodvibes

Subscribing way late but couldn't pass up the opportunity after your appearance in Danielle's TR!:wave2:

Thanks for joining us!

Yay, first off I'm so glad you guys had a great trip! I was jealous watching the updates on FB. I'm in Disney withdrawal right now. The fact that I've been sick for the last week has not helped with that either.

I'm in total Disney withdrawl right now, thank goodness I have FP+ reservations to make for the December trip soon!

Epic Small World selfie! I'm totally going to steal that picture btw. LOL. If you don't mind. I love it!

Franklin's pictures in the Mine Train turned out so good!

Steal all the photos you'd like (and let us know if you need the links to any of them!)

Also, in true Franklin fashion, I asked him after Mine Train how his photos turned out. He responded "They're all right." :lmao:

I remember when the app did that and we were like, "wha?"

I think the Jungle Cruise at night is so much more fun than in the day time. Don't ask me why. Maybe I think it feels more real? :lmao:

Personally, I love Thunder Mountain at night. It's a much better experience to me than it is during the day. And Peoplemover. Love me some Peoplemover at night.

I gave up on the MDE app entirely in August, it was either the Web site on my phone or the kiosk in the park because NOTHING worked for me on that stinking app!

BTM is my favorite night ride too!

Hi Missy! Just joining in to follow your adventure (as well as start reading all of your previous ones ;) ) Sounds like you're having a fantastic time! Can't wait to hear more :)

:welcome:, we're so glad to have you here!

Love the Boo to You parade shots! The MNSSHP is on my list of To Do's someday. Love seeing all the creative costumes!
I also want to do the Jungle Cruise at night as well because I had heard of how different it was at night. So do you like it better in the daytime or night?

Knowing we'd miss Boo To You this year, it was kind of cool to see all the villains on their BTY float and marching to their song!

I think there's a cool vibe at night on JC. Everything feels very different in the dark!

Hi!:wave2: I just read through your entire report, it looks like you had a blast :cheer2:

I agree Mine Train is awesome! My 6 year old loved it (not so much for my 4 year old)

Can't wait to read more about your trip pixiedust:

Wow! Thanks for reading through everything!

Awww, thanks (and thanks Danielle for being your awesome self!). You will love  1900 Park Fare, it is a fantastic character meal! I can't wait to see how the surprise works out for your DD! I know I couldn't keep a Disney secret that long. ;)

It's funny, the mine part of SDMT seems so slow when you're riding it, but if you're trying to take pictures -- it's super fast! :rotfl:

Thanks Katt! And *spoiler alert*, you make your first appearance in the August TR very soon!

I looooooooooooove that Lady Tremaine, she's perfect in every way!

Following along. What a fun TR! :yay:

Thank you so, so much!

Welcome back, friends! We last left off in our 24-hour Disney Day fun with a night time cruise in the jungle, with Danielle. Next, Magic Carpets was a walk-on, so we walked on!

DSC_6157-L.jpg

All three of us wanted a snack, so we made a 2 a.m. stop at the Lunching Pad. Franklin and I split a Mickey pretzel and a frozen Coke.

DSC_6160-L.jpg

By that point, Danielle was pretty beat (she had been at the park when it had opened at 6 a.m.), so she headed back to Boardwalk. Franklin and I decided to have a little bit of Tomorrowland fun. Sleepy selfie on the PeopleMover.

DSC_6161-L.jpg

Lights were on in Space Mountain again, luckily Franklin was on the case this time.

By this point, it was 3 a.m. and nothing screams “3 a.m. at Magic Kingdom” like Carousel of Progress.

They had set up a photo spot with a giant clock, we couldn’t resist.

i-6K3MLjM-L.jpg

What time is it? 3:20 a.m. Make a human clock!

DSC_6193-L.jpg

Our night was clearly winding down. As we hit Main Street, the dance party at the castle was playing the dance version of “Let it Go.” I literally danced down Main Street, I like to create a dance party wherever I go.

More Main Street photos of Wall-E and Eve.

DSC_6196-L.jpg

I was pretty excited, this was the latest we’d ever been at a Disney park.

DSC_6204-L.jpg

We headed out into the night, er, early morning.

DSC_6209-L.jpg

As the clock struck 4:00, the Boardwalk bus pulled up. We didn’t quite make it until sunrise, but we ultimately decided with a couple of pretty-packed Star Wars Weekend days ahead, a few extra hours of sleep would be the better choice. That’s where we’ll end for now, but there’s lots of fun from a galaxy far, far away coming up. But first, what’s the latest you’ve ever been in a Disney park?

LOVE Franklin's photos of a lit up Space! Looks like ya'll had a wonderful time at the 24 hour party! I've never stayed in MK past 1 a.m. although it was open until 3 a.m. one time that we went.

Wow those are great pictures of Space Mountain!

I'm not sure I could have done Carousel of Progress at 3am I think I would have fallen asleep :lmao:

I'm glad you guys had a good time, maybe one of these days I can make it out to a 24 hours party.

The latest I have ever been in the MK wow okay this is pathetic but only till 11:30 during MVMCP last year. With two young kids late nights aren't really an option.

Looks like you guys had so much fun! I am impressed with how long you lasted. I would have likely fallen asleep on the CoP and would have been woken at 6am to get out of the park!
I have never been at HS on one of the SW weekends, so I look forward to seeing your experience!:chewy:

Hi Missy! I'm so glad I've stumbled upon trip reports again, and that I found this one.. loving it and can't wait to read more. I'll have to check out your August report, too!

Sounds like a great ending to your night (err...morning). We left somewhere in the 2:30am range so you lasted a bit longer than us.

Those SM pictures are really great and totally spooky. I don't think they help to relieve my fear of keeping my arms up (even though I am 5'2 I can't be the only one that has a fear of my arms hitting the track above me, can I?).

Your picture on Main Street with the clock there was really cute and you don't look tired at all!

We went to DHS on Saturday too so I am interested in what you guys did!!

I've been at a Disney park until 5:30 a.m. I grew up in California, so we had our Grad Night at Disneyland. One of the best times I've ever had at a park, for sure.

I love the costumes, BTW. I think Wall-E is sometimes underappreciated, and I love it!

Good choice to go back and get some sleep. I don't know if I could've made it as far as you did!

My ds#2 and I left at 3:20 and were beat. We had a blast and would so do it again if we have a trip planned when they do it.

you guys made it a pretty long time - love the idea of just being able to pop in somewhere and get food at 2am.

I am fascinated by Space Mountain and the construction and love seeing it with the lights on - though I think it looks 10x scarier with the lights on with how close the tracks and supports are

The latest I remember being in Magic Kingdom was around 1am - but the park had closed at midnight. We were on line for Space Mountain, actually, when the park closed and they let anyone who was online at closing time ride so it was close to 1am by the time we were off ... and Main St. was still buzzing with activity ... fun memory - definitely would like to do a 24 hour day one of these years

I didn’t even realize that you’d started the august trip report! ACK! I will head on over there right after that!

Aw man, your pictures of inside space are INSANE and make me NEVER want to ride it again, bahaha!

Man you guys made it late! I feel like it wasn’t that much longer (2hrs) than us, but hey, we were WIPED! Lol.

Love the pics on main street, and the one with the clock!

I’m pretty sure the latest we’ve been in a park is 3am, with those LOVELY emh they have some times!

okay! off to the august tr now!!

We had a blast at the 24-hour party! We had our first late-night EMH experience last year and now we're hooked. Having the park to yourself at night is all kinds of awesome!

Wow those are great pictures of Space Mountain!

Those might be the best "lights on" photos Franklin has ever taken of Space Mountain.

I think the sugar and caffeine from the frozen Coke kicked in right around the time we walked into CoP because I was wide awake!

11:30 is really impressive with little kids! I hope we make it that late at MVMCP with our nephew in tow!

There is some really awesome SWW fun coming up. We really enjoyed that event!

Hi Missy! I'm so glad I've stumbled upon trip reports again, and that I found this one.. loving it and can't wait to read more. I'll have to check out your August report, too!

Welcome back Joyce! How are you and Ben? :goodvibes

We went to DHS on Saturday too so I am interested in what you guys did!!

You guys lasted a long time too! Even though I'm only 5-3, I still duck when the train goes under the skeleton on Big Thunder Mountain. I've done it since I was little, I don't know why because I clearly know I'm not tall enough to hit my head! :lmao:

I've been at a Disney park until 5:30 a.m. I grew up in California, so we had our Grad Night at Disneyland. One of the best times I've ever had at a park, for sure.

Wow, 5:30!?!?! That would be awesome. I know Franklin really wanted to get some sunrise shots of the castle. Maybe next time!

Thanks for the compliment about our costumes! Wall-E is one of Franklin's favorite Disney movies.

My ds#2 and I left at 3:20 and were beat. We had a blast and would so do it again if we have a trip planned when they do it.

I'm glad you guys had fun at the party! They just need to add more character M&Gs next time. :thumbsup2

awesome pictures. Wow you guys lasted so much longer than Rick and I did. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

You guys got to the park earlier than we did though!

Dee (natebenma) said that for the YES class one year, they rode Space with the lights off AND with the lights on. That would be awesome, and a little terrifying.

We looooooove staying in the park after it's closed. We often let the crowds leave while we grab a snack and enjoy the sights as we leisurely make our way out. We were literally the last guests they swept out of the park at MNSSHP last year. And it was awesome!

You've definitely got other stuff to focus on right now, I'm so glad you checked back in though! :goodvibes

We were definitely exhausted when we got back to the room. My feet get sore at Disney, but that night my feet were throbbing. It felt so good to just flop onto the bed!

Love EMH, even if we do nothing but wander the park late at night!

Welcome back friends! We last left off with quite the rocking 24-hour party at Magic Kingdom. We got back to Boardwalk after 4 a.m., so we knew we weren’t going to get to Hollywood Studios for rope drop. We did, however, need to be there in time to check in for the Feel the Force premium package. This package was a new addition to Star Wars Weekends this year. It included a roped-off viewing area for the Star Wars celebrity motorcade that included all the sodas, bottled water and Mickey bars you could eat and drink. And then later that evening there would be a dessert party for Symphony in the Stars fireworks spectacular.

DSC_6217-L.jpg

We grabbed a primo spot for the parade and enjoyed our first Mickey bar of the day.

DSC_6219-L.jpg

DSC_6220-L.jpg

There was a Photopass photographer in front of the viewing area, and since we were both wearing our Star Wars best, it was photo shoot time!

There were a few familiar faces on the stage during the preshow.

DSC_6232-L.jpg

Enough with the preamble, let’s get this show started. Welcome our gracious (and pretty funny) hosts!

DSC_6234-L.jpg

Jedi Mickey was a logical choice to lead the parade, and in an awesome X-Wing fighter to boot!

The first celebrity guest was Ashley Eckstein, I love her “Her Universe” clothes line.

DSC_6354-L.jpg

Next up was Tiya Sircar, from “Star Wars Rebels.”

DSC_6361-L.jpg

DSC_6366-L.jpg

The first celebrity that really wowed us was Jeremy Bulloch, who played Boba Fett!

DSC_6370-L.jpg

DSC_6372-L.jpg

Next celebrity was Warwick Davis, who played Wickett W. Warwick -- the Ewok. But for a Harry Potter geek like myself, I was just geeking out to see Professor Flitwick and Griphook in person!

DSC_6380-L.jpg

Zam Wesell came around next, I would really love for her to teach me how to do eye makeup like she does.

DSC_6389-L.jpg

James Arnold Taylor, voice extraordinaire and host of Star Wars Weekend, rolled through next.

DSC_6395-L.jpg

Everyone, including party crashers Darth Vader and Darth Maul, made their way to the stage to welcome all their guests to the fun-filled day!

DSC_6412-L.jpg

DSC_6410-L.jpg

That’s where we’ll leave off for now, but there is soooooo much more Star Wars fun ahead. And if any of you are starting to think about a SWW trip for 2015, let us know if you have any questions!

Magic Carpets! I have our selfie! It's a little dark, but I have it. With me making a stupid silly face as always.

Ugh, I was so done at that point. I fell right on my bed when I got back to the room and fell asleep.

Hahaha, the Mickey pretzel. That was torn into before you could take a picture and Franklin rebuild. Oh yes, I remember.

A few hours of sleep was definitely a good idea for you guys. I didn't want to miss out on my SWW fun the next day either!

Mickey bar! Great way to beat the heat.

I have to get more of the Her Universe items for next year! My brother and I are doing SWW over Memorial Day weekend. Which very well may coincide with the 24 hour party if they do another one!
