All top FP's are unavailable for June 2 & 3

Hmm let's see...

We could have rides be FP+ only with no stand-by which would increase the FP+ pool and at the same time folks would know what times they need to be at rides so it's evenly spread out over the day.

Or we could have limited FP+ and still have stand-by where there would be no control over folks (even at reduced capacity) rushing to fill up lines at rope drop.

Now which one makes sense again?

I work with Fortune 500 companies designing business systems. Trust me, making sense is not factored into business decisions.

I agree with you that a FP only queue would limit standby lines, but again, I doubt Disney would go that way. Another possibility is that we see virtual queuing coming into play. Virtual queues would keep the people from physically lining up. But they’d have to address the massive morning crowds that Rise sees right now. Maybe allowing BGs to be selected from anywhere, as long as you hold a valid ticket for that day, instead of having to already be in the park. Non-PH tickets could be set to only allow you into the same park as your FPs, or maybe your first BG you get sets your park for that day?

Either which way though as much as I fear to admit it, there’s a strong possibility the parks don’t reopen any time soon when social distancing is still a factor. If I’m wrong, and I really hope I am, then the only way it would be viable is at limited capacity. Ride capacity would have to be running at a fraction of their normal throughput, in order to allow for sanitization between loads of riders. And to achieve that, Disney would have to man the rides with excess CMs to accomplish it. Less revenue vs higher expenses is going to be weighed against potential brand tarnishment of keeping the parks closed. Loss-leaders like that are never planned for long-term. Just not viable to the business. So, more likely than not, the parks will remain closed until the pandemic is suppressed, at which point it might just be back to business as usual, with maybe a few extra precautions.

We are planning to go June 4-7th. I got TT and SDMT. I know TT is pretty easy to get. I am going to keep trying for FOP and MMRT.

After our trip to the World in Feb. we both were shocked at the size of the crowds, especially at Galaxy's Edge and wondered if virtual queueing was the way of the future. It would be a lot easier to plan using a previous posters ideas of your first BG locking you into that park for the day. But with social distancing, I can't see them opening any time soon. How do you do Jungle Cruise? 4 people per boat? All the coasters would have to leave empty seats. Rafts to Tom Sawyer Island? Even ROTR would have to limit riders. The parades, fireworks crowds, food outlets. I cant see them operating anything like before until there is a vaccine. Same for all the cruise companies, sadly.

My trip is June 1-7 I was able to get MFSR, SSD nothing for FOP on any day or 7Dmt . I’m pleased we got the two at HS. Those were our priority. I’m curious, what’s the earliest date theyve opened up FP?

Hi Folks...Booked my fast passes Saturday for my June 3rd trip. I had a difficult time with two of my days. I had very limited choices for AK and MK. I attribute this to Disney cutting back on fast pass offerings due to the modifications the company will have to make for a June re-opening. Of course, that is wishful thinking on Disney's part. We can only hope for the best at this point.

Today was our FP day for our rescheduled March trip. We are scheduled to go 6/5-6/12. I had so much more trouble getting good FP's this time than I did in January for our supposed to be very busy spring break trip! I could not get anything we wanted at the MK on 6/5 or AK on 6/6. Got a few tier 2 rides at HS for 6/7 but very late in the day and no Tier 1 available all day. Was not able to get 7Dmt at all during our 7 day visit. Did manage to get FOP and SDD for later in our visit. SDD was the only tier 1 still available at HS on the 2 days that we have planned there and it was a late afternoon time. I would guess that they are not releasing as many fast passes right now just judging by how little was available even 6 days out from our check in day. I am not confident this trip will even happen but I am choosing to enjoy the planning of it anyway!

I struggled to get decent FP also. I was looking at June 5th, 6th and 7th. Very frustrating!

Yep.... My opinion...Disney is seriously limiting the number of fast passes to accommodate the modifications needed to reopen the parks in a "safer" manner. I believe Disney is planning to open on or around June 1 if it is at all possible. I don't see how they can. People will cancel their trips before they compromise their familys' safety. Others will cancel a heavily modified Disney Vacation in which they are paying $5,000. or more.

It's hard to say. Parks were still pretty packed right up until they closed. Has the paranoia grown enough to make people actually cancel, or will people take a reopen as a sign that everything's okay now?
