I did not see a LGMH!
Come to think of it, I've never seen a LGMH!

I was there April 12-20th.
Just me and my dh.
I do have great pictures from my IPad.
But how do I get them off my IPad to send to shutterfly.
I so untechnical.

This is a pic of me and my dh. We did a camera switch with a fun couple. They asked me first to take a picture of them. Which is great, because I have a hard time getting out of my comfort zone, asking someone else to take our picture. No Photopass photographers were out yet. Why? It was 8:00 a.m. and the MK did not open till 9:00. Great time to be in the park with a ADR for Crystal Palace at 8:15 a.m.

This is the reason why I am not on the boards to much anymore moderating. But I will try a lot harder. My kids thought I was lonely after my youngest graduated college this past Christmas. His name is George. He take "all" my time. He is a mutt-but if you want to know his breed, he is half poodle, half shih poo. Pure bred breeders get upset, when you say Shih-poo. But my vet does, so if he can, I can. Meet George.

Now that you know what I look like, I can start my actual Trip Report.

I tried once to do a pre-trip, but Sarah, aka WDWgirl03 invited me to April Facebook last year, and I didnt participate to much, When I asked her if there was an April 13 group, she told me there was and invited me again. Ya, Sarah!! We had a great group-and tons of fun sharing tips and advice.

I booked our vacation as soon as the discounts came out for Spring. I looked back on my email and I actually booked January 1, 2013. You can tell, I didnt celebrate New Years Eve, because I sure as heck wouldnt be on the computer booking a vacation.

I found out my dh convention was at the Ritz/Carleton again in Orlando, April 17, 18 & 19th, I called Disney with my code and booked Coronado Springs Resort April 12-17th, with 1 ticket a piece, so I could get the Dining Plan.

Not a huge fan of the Dining Plan, but 2 years ago, I took the 40% off the room, instead of Free Dining and I found out Disney Food is very expensive. I came out only $50 ahead, and it was cheap eats. Nothing really fancy.

So with the room, King Size bed, 2 tickets, Dining Package, my grand total was $1700.

Car rental was $182 for 8 days, love those codes from Mousesavers.
Flight was free-dh work pays for our flight.

So, these were my expenses.

I did have some Disney Pixie Dust Magic in a way.

We booked the Segway Tour, and if you dont know, Disney was in legalities, by some Disability Group-that said, since the Segway was offered as a ride or Tour in the parks, and was not handicapped accessible, it stopped Disney from offering the Segway Tour in the Parks. I can understand. And, Segway is making a Disability Segway. Our dreaded phone call came in April to tell us our Tour was cancelled. Our money would be credited back to my account. Sometimes when I start talking, (especially about Disney) you cant shut me up. Well, this is where the Magic came in. We were offered a Free Tour of Epcot, called Behind the Scene Tour of Epcot. At first I thought she said Behind the Seeds Tour at The Land Pavilion. So I asked the CM Amelia, did you say Seeds or Scene.
She said Scene. Oh, heck ya.
We did Keys to the Kingdom Tour at the MK.
DH would rather do a tour, than walk around in a park-gotta have some
Happy, Happy, Happy.

So this sums up my pre-planning. I leave you off with the uneventful-migraine induced flight from Milwaukee to Orlando. Stupid me, took a Vicoden to kill the pain, and I was looped the whole way there.

I made my dh take a pic. Love this guy.

You can tell, we didn't expect warm weather. Left WI at 33 degrees. Hit a heat wall at 88 degrees, holy, moly.

ry%3D400

Yep, our first ride-Airport monorail.

And, you would think by now, I know which side our luggage is on and the Magical Express-B-people -B- So how the heck did we end up in A.

Joining in! :goodvibes
Thank you.

I don't think you are boring at all!
Thanks. I reread some of my post and I think my mind is so far ahead of my typing, I get confused reading some of my posts. I am going to type them up on Word and edit the heck out of them, before I post. I think it is some form of dyslexia. I know what I want to say, I just have a hard time, getting it written down correctly.

I am exciting that I am on the April list now, and I can't wait to read everyone elses.

AirTran Luggage will be delivered at Terminal B.
B is good.
B is where Disney Express is.
I still don’t know why we walked to Terminal A after the mono-rail ride.
Last time we came to Orlando we flew with Frontier.
Frontier bought our precious MidWest Express-they promised,
and promised not to change anything.
Ya, sure, right.
They barely even have a terminal any longer in Milwaukee.
My excuse for being confused?
Frontier was in Terminal A last year.
Plus I saw a sign that said, “Air Transit”
Remember this hint I am giving you about "Air Transit".

I convinced my dh to get the rental car first.
I got a smoking deal from “Dollar”-thanks to all the codes from Mousesavers.
I was in the $500 dollar range when I started looking in January.
In March codes started popping up.
I got our car for 8 days for $182, $22 a day.
My dd, told me I could of done better with Priceline.
But I felt I got a good deal and if you are happy with what you are comfortable with-

So onward to Terminal A.

I was happy with the Ford Fusion.
My dh was happy with the Ford Fusion.
Our Dollar agent was not happy with our Ford Fusion.
$15 more a day,
Dollar agent can upgrade us to:
"a Chevy Impala"
-sounds good?
"no thank you."

Our Dollar agent said,
“we may not have a Ford Fusion on the lot.”
My dh said, “well we are paying this price, what do you have on the lot?”
Dollar agent, “Volkswagon Jetta’s,
Me-”that’s is fine, I drive a Volkswagon Jetta.”
Dollar agent, “I thought you wanted a Ford Fusion”.

O Good Grief, just give us the paper work for our midsize car.

Dollar agent, “For $5 more a day, I’ll put you in a Chevy Impala.”
She did the computer upgrading
thinking we would agree to this.
My dh said, no, give us what our paper work says.
Dollar agents computer froze, she needed to start all over again.

This took 20 minutes, so I told my dh, I go over and get our luggage.
I walked over to the luggage area and I see Air Transit and no luggage,
or people. Where are my people
and come to think of it,
where is Disney Express.

Since this is a boring segment with no pictures,
I'll give you a picture of our Ford Fusion.
Since the Agent claimed she had no Ford Fusions on the lot.
We were able to take our pick -
of 5 different colored Ford Fusions.
And only one black Volkswagon Jetta.

My dh picked this one.
He said it was "off white"
and would be easy to find.:rotfl:

Before we got our car, I went looking for our luggage.
Air Transit.
Air Transit.
Something isn't right here.

Finally I asked a Service Desk,
Where is the luggage terminal for Air Transit.
I told her we flew with Air Tran-was it the same airline?
They both laughed and said,
"No."
AirTran is not Air Transit.
You need to go over to:
Terminal "B"
You are in "A"
Um, no kidding.

I asked them, why is the rental car desks over here.
She laughed again,
and said, "It is a mirror image."
Rental car agencies are both Terminal A & B.
You need to get over to B.
"I think they were having fun with me." ):

I called my dh,
and told him of my stupid mistake.
"Guess what-we need to get over to Terminal B to get our luggage.
The ladies at the Service desk told me to take our paper work and we could pick out a car on the Terminal B side.

Exhaustion, why is the airport so exhausting.

AirTran had our luggage off the luggage roundabout.
And tucked away behind a taped off area.
I usually ignore those luggage receipts we get in at checkin.
We needed to use the receipts to claim our luggage.
My dh shows his right away and I go blank.
Where the heck did I put mine.
After the purse search and rescue,
I found them in my front pocket of my jeans.

You are probably wondering if we will ever get there.
I like to post on the DIS Transportation Board, "how fast we can usually get to WDW"!
Be careful what you bragg about.

We landed at 12:30 p.m.
We were going under these at 2:30 p.m.

I may as well just continue with this day.

I have an IPad 4.
I previously had the original.
With technology the IPad was starting to not accept
new Apps and it didn’t take the new “My Experience App”
Disney was promoting.
Christmas Present-from my dh.
He found out Walmart had a special price of $399
for the IPad 4.
A week before Christmas too.
I had to go to Walmart and purchase my own Christmas Present.
I was Happy,
Happy, Happy, Happy-sorry Duck Dynasty rules.

I just have to figure out how to get my pictures off my IPad
and onto a Internet picture site.
My IPad takes great pictures, better than my camera.

I hesitated about Early Check-in Online.
I got all our requests, from suggestions I received on the DIS and
our April's Facebook group.
Casita’s, first floor.

Mistake.
Our check-in CM,
thought I knew everything about Coronado Springs Resort.

Our CM basically handed our envelope to us.
She walked away.
Could this day get any better.

I had to call her back to ask for directions.
How did the keys work.
Where our one day tickets on these keys.
Was our dining Plan on these keys.
I asked if these were the new tickets that you just scanned at the parks
or had to slide them in.

She had no answers.
She had no clues how the cards worked,
or what was on my card.

Our CM figured if I did early check-in
I should know all the answers.
She did draw us a map to our room.
Only after she asked someone.

The CM also forgot to give us
information you really needed
with our “Key Card”
anyone want to take a guess?
I had no idea you needed it,
so why would I ask another question.

I am going to take some pictures off the DIS community Photo Site. (3)
The rest are mine.
If you don’t know what Coronado Springs looks like.
Here is check-in.

Left over Easter Bunny-we had about 5 towel animals in the room.

Temps were 88 degrees.
We unpacked, changed and hung our in our room and cranked on the air conditioner.
We had an ADR at 4:30 p.m. at DTD at Paradiso 57.
I wanted to take a walk and go get our Refillable Mugs.

We were only 5 minutes away from the Main Building.
It took longer driving around CRS on the outside.
The inside walk, cut off all of the Conference Center Buildings.

When I went to collect our mugs, I gave the CM my Key card.
She told me to swipe it and enter my Pin Number.
Is there a smilie face for a blank look?:confused3

Hey Marisa! :)

That George is such a cutie. :goodvibes

I didn't realize that was why the Segway tours were cancelled. I can understand needing to make disability segways, but why cancel them for everyone in the meantime? :confused3

I love those rooms at Coronado Springs! So pretty.

Hello:wave2:
Did you see on Facebook how the kids would post pictures of George howling at the door, and My dd, would post, "where's momma."

I actually liked CSR. We had our own vehicle and we were only 5 minutes away from any park. My dh wanted to ride the bus, but it was so hot, muggy, sticky, I liked hopping in our own car.

Joining in !!

Epic fail on the whole check-in thing at CSR. Why would they even HIRE someone who knew so little ?? Let alone let them check people in ??

Susan

Thank you for coming over and reading my TR. I have been reading your TR for the last 3 days. I keep it up on my computer at home. I am on Day 5 part 2.

We did have the worst CM check us in. In gets even better, when I got reassigned to her, when I had to go back to the check-in counter.:rotfl:

No matter how often we go, seeing this never gets less exciting! :cheer2: The land of purple and red street signs is such a lovely place. :thumbsup2

Jill and her family were at Coronado Springs in April. I'm pretty sure the beginning of her trip overlapped the end of yours. I'll have to check her dates, because I forget the exacts. If you saw a skinny young mother with three lively girls, a hot, hungry, grumpy husband, a short mother-in-law that was hovering all over her giving her no breathing room, and a tall father-in-law who looked tired and lost - yeah, that was them.

I won't be surprised if you have pictures and stories of seeing a three ring circus at a dining table next to you...and it turns out to be them. :upsidedow

This trip I really people watched. We only went to parks every other day, and really took some down time. Both of us have worked since last April without a vacation and we were both just tired. You know when you have kids it is very draining and if my in-laws would of been with me-I would of pulled my hair out. We saw lots of Grandparents really enjoying their grandkids. I just wish my kids would get to that phase in their lives. They are all enjoying their 20's way to much.:lmao:

I am here.
Awe George is a cutie. I love little dogs.
CSR is a nice resort. Good rates and better airfare. LOL
Some car rental agents are sneaky but good for you for standing your ground.
What a horrible CM. I would have called over her supervisor.
LOL. Pin number.
We stayed in Casitas 3 and it is so nice in that area of the Casitas.
Looking forward to more.
