Which one would you stay at if price was the same?
I like being able to go over to DTD at night. I've only stayed
at POR on property and the Double tree in DTD so I don't know
what the All Stars would have to offer other than free parking
and early entry.

what is BW - if it is the Broadwalk - this is a Epcot resort hotel - stay there!

You can walk to Epcot/Studios.

also if has the BW at night - to walk along and experience it's night time entertainment.

If I didn't understand you - then my next choice would be the All Stars - they have much better bus services than the DTD hotels. they have some of the best bus services on WDW property. and you can easily take a bus to DD.

however if you only want to do PI - then I would look at OKW - rent points from a DVC member. you can walk over - of course if you aren't in shape to walk back - the bus services is excellent. OKW also has a boat to DD as well as a bus.

Now, I'm assuming that the BW is Best Western. :)

DTD vs All Stars. Same price? I'd want to try Pop Century unless you want a bigger room. We've stayed at the Courtyard the past 2 years. I like it just fine for the price that I paid. And if you are going to take advantage of the Manager's reception, then put it in the plus column. While I've enjoyed the Courtyard, I'm looking forward to being onsite for my next trip. Unfortunately, with 1 in college, 1 set for next year, and 1 the year after. . . it's going to be a LONG time before I see Disney again. :worried:

You didn't say if you have any children or if you mind vacationing where plenty of children will be.

AS, BW or DT. Ugh. If everyone traveling with you are adults and you intend to spend a significant amount of time at DTD (and not in the parks) then staying across the street will be a good option for you. I would consider renting points from a DVC owner at OKW as it would be a very nice bonus for you being on property and close to DTD.

As for the AS, I don't know when your planning on visiting, but I would think on this issue. Personally, the hotel is okay and the property is very properly themed for children and tweens. The rooms are small and would require bussing to DTD. Not to mention depending on the time of year, you may want to check to make sure no large children's groups are staying there (ie. Pop Warner group in Dec. and cheerleaders in Feb.). When I last stayed here, we were up at night (after returning from DTD) and hearing noise from the kids at all hours. We were 3 adults and only stayed there due to last minute trip, cheapest hotel on property and not wanting to rent a vehicle during our stay. It certainly may be worth a thought about staying at the Pop Century when it opens.

Have fun planning.

Another vote for any of the DTD hotels over any of the WDW budget hotels. The rooms are bigger, quieter, and with more amenities. Most rooms include a refrigerator and all have sit down onsite restaurants. And, you can usually find prices that are better than the WDW budget properties! But, what I like best, is being able to walk to DTD. After a day in the parks, we go back to our room to freshen up. Then take a leisurely stroll over to Ghiradelli's for an ice cream cone! If you like DTD, the location of the resorts on Hotel Blvd is a definite perk!

All Stars all the way. I would rather have 24/7 Disney "magic" than a bigger room.

I once stayed at All Star Sports, then moved to the DTD Hilton (DH's company was paying) and then back to ASSp. I was very happy to be back at the All Stars :).

Yes, you get EE and free parking at all Disney resorts.

another vost for the all-stars. we staye at three disney resorts, including the all-stars adn then stayed at the wyndham palace. i cant tell you how disappointed we were.
