This will be our 5th family trip to the World, but our first stay at All-Star Sports. What can anyone tell us about it? Does anyone know how to access a map of the lay-out of the rooms? We prefer to be as close to the buses as possible.

You want one of the "Surf's Up" buildings.

(The northernmost sections of "Touchdown!" are fine, too.)

We have stayed there many times and always enjoyed the experience. The food court is presently undergoing a major refurb so I don't know if that will impact your trip or not. I think that is going to later in the year or maybe early 2014? Not quite sure.

Here is link with a lot of info about the resort

You may want to check out this thread about the resort on the resorts forum.

Yes the best is to stay in a Preferred room where you are close to the Lobby and Bus transportation, and yes they are going through a refurb soon of the food court and you may want to consider this if you are there during your stay.

We are at ASSports now and in Surfs Up. It's perfect.

However, the food court is currently under renovation and everyone has to go to ASMusic. That is a nightmare at breakfast time. And the CMs aren't handling it well.

Yikes I'm so sorry to hear that! Are you having very long waits at meal times over at ASMusic?

We're leaving for ASsports in 2 days. We requested the baseball themed buildings which are a walk across the parking lot to the ASmusic food court (at least I think it is). I'll post how ASsports does for us, and how the baseball buildings work out during the rehab. We're going with my sister's family and my 75 year old parents. Should we. rather, try for preferred rooms for my 75 year old parents and the boys (6, 8, and 10)?

It's just complete chaos. People everywhere, miserable CM (my dh heard a cook using the f word) lack of napkins and utensils. We eventually just ate bagels and muffins at our resort. One time was enough!

Yes,I would to cut down on the walking for your Parents, otherwise I would stay in HRH.:)

Surf's Up! will put yopu close to the buses and you can take a bus to Music to avoid the walk.:)
