All Star Sports or PO French Quarter?

If you could stay at either one, which would you chose and why? I've only been to WDW once, back in 2017 when my girls were 11 and 7. Disney doesn't appeal to them anymore, but I'm planning to take my DS in 2 years right before his 8th birthday. He's very much into sports, so I know he'd enjoy All Star Sports. He would love the pool at French Quarter. I've been watching videos of POFQ and think it's so beautiful. I know it's more money, and that it's very popular. I know it's personal preference. I just want to hear what others say.

Well in a year or so, just sit down with your DS and show him videos of both resorts and get his opinion, we do this with our DD's. DW and I would narrow it down to a few resorts and then we would all discuss it and choose as a family. Our DD's did not like sports and loves POFQ for the theme, size, beignet's and the boat to DS.

If you get the refillable Mug,you can refill it 24/7 in End Zone Food Court which isn't the case at POFQ.

Does your DS like boat rides? If so, I would lean more to POFQ and you can take the boat back and forth to DS. But if he's really into sports, he would probably really enjoy All Star Sports.

Yes, he loves boats. I'm leaning more towards All Star Sports. I feel it would be a better fit for us.

Why can't you fill it 24/7 at POFQ?

The refill station is not accessible when the food court is closed.

If he likes swimming and you are planning on spending any time at Disney Springs I would do FQ. You get two nice pools to use, there’s a playground and it’s so easy to walk to everything. The boat is so nice to Disney springs, the only times we ever had bus issues during trips was the springs buses so would have loved having a boat. As for the price difference, I’m waiting for discounts to come out so I can hopefully update my trip with that. You could always take a bus over to visit sports so he could see all the theming.

Something we did was sit down with our daughter and let her she videos of the two resorts we were deciding between. She picked FQ, so that’s what I booked.

You can always ride the boat between DHS and Epcot or bus to Port Orleans and ride the boat to Disney Springs.

I would definitely take him on a Skyliner ride as well.
