What is the best section to stay in Music? The group is 2 adults and 2 girls age 12 and 14. Any certain rooms to request?

I stay at Music at least 2x year and I LOVE it! I would request top floor NOT pool view.

I think that depends on what your family is into. Do you want to be close to the main building where the Intermission food court is? Then Calypso is probably your best bet. Do you want to be away from the noise of the pool? Then Country Fair is a good choice, but it's a bit of a walk to the back (we didn't mind it, though, because we liked the quiet). Rock Inn and Broadway appeal to teens/young adults, and are right near the middle. Whereas Jazz Inn gets quite a bit of traffic going through, which can lead to noise of roller suitcases passing on the cobblestone walkways.

Our Family has been staying at ASMusic since 1995. New back then.

We have always stayed in the Calypso Buildings ( #1, #10) - As the family grow from 3 to5, we have opted for the new family suite- twice the space, twice the bathrooms and private parents room- (at twice the cost, but that is because Disney doesn't offer you a connecting room for $25 anymore). popcorn::

The Preferred rooms (Calypso) are close to parking, bus, main building, pool, shops, food court and activities. popcorn::

Ground floor - pool side is best for us- no stairs and excellent access to the pool and other amenities I mentioned.

But I am, and have always been a Disney junkie so to speak. We have stayed at other Disney properties, but always go back to ASMusic.

DD has a cheer competition in march and they are staying at Movies- DW wants to stay there too, but I am trying to talk her into ASMusic. It is just the two of us in a room this time, since the other kids are in college and only the youngest is going but staying with her cheer team- they will be at ASMovies- so beware- cheerleaders on the loose. :cheer2:

IF you are like us, we are at the park for rope drop and stay till all the rides are closed and we have nothing to do but leave, the ground floor room is nice then, no stairs. If you are wasting time at the pool, the ground floor is still nice. IF you come back early and just want to hang- the ground floor is great- all the in and out traffic to the main building and back will add to all the foot traffic you did in the park- sit and relax by the pool (and your room) with a drink (beverage). :coffee:

Nice music and great environment. :dance3:

Hope this helps!

Hi. Every building has an elevator - we like to request the top floor because then you don't have any elephant herds and flushing toilets above your head at all hours of the day or night.

Oh, to PP, it's not "wasting" time at the pool. Some of us like to swim and use the resort amenities too, not just theme parks LOL.

If I'm going to swim/lay out, I prefer to 'waste time' at the piano pool. Less crowds, quieter, not nearly as much splashing (if at all).

Just To Clarify, If I want to "Waste Time at a Pool", I don't usually do it at Disney- I would do that at home. We live close to the water park capital of the world- Wisconsin dells.....
I meant that some families will do that, but since I paid to go in the park, I plan on getting every penny out of it. Sure, you can take a day off and lounge at the pool, It is relaxing and very much enjoyable. I have done that, But not on a park day, Sorry:sad1:
We have stayed on all the floors, we prefer the ground floor, others my have different opinions which is why we post them here. YES the top floor is the top floor and you should NOT hear running water from others in your ceiling, which you will if you don't stay on the top floor. Makes sense since 2/3 of the hotel guests stay on the top two floors and only 1/3 is on the ground. Morning and evening can be an issue with the elevator but not much in my experience. Just saying.
And addressing the real issue- what ever experience you plan on enjoying at Disney is up to you. If you want to stay close to the main building, then choose that, if you like it quite, stay far away from everyone.

Have a magical Trip!!!

We stayed in the farthest room in the farthest building from the main building (lobby, food court, transportation, etc.) and the walk was pretty miserable. I would pay the extra for a preferred room. Our room did overlook a swamp area, which was kind of cool, and it was quiet.

We stayed in Jazz, ground floor, facing the inner courtyard and it was perfect for us. Not noisy at all, easy in and out, short walk to everything. We stayed in a family suite though, not sure if those are are all suites or also a mix of regular rooms.

I agree with Jazz building. We had a middle floor room facing the parking lot. Never heard anything and close to the main building.

Our first stay was in the back in Broadway or Jazz, that was a mistake. Preferred is worth the extra ten bucks a day. You do so much walking in the parks, it's just nice to do it less when you're back at the resort. Our last time at Sports, I counted 110 steps from the sliding doors at the main building to our room door (I seriously do weird things like this).
