All Star Music Suites: 1st\2nd\3rd Week In Dec 2008?

We Just returned a few weeks ago from our first trip to Disney. We stayed at the POFQ, and it was great! I am trying to pick a week next Dec. that has low crowds. We will be flying this time, the 20 hr road trip this year was enough to kill me . I was reading that the "Cheerleaders" invade Disney the first week in the past. Does this happen every year? I am looking to book a room at the All Star Music Suites. Any help would be much appreciated. Peace............

Yes, the POP Warner football teams and cheerleaders are in WDW the first full week of December.
The main value resort is the Allstar Sports and then the overflow goes to the Allstar Music.
I know this year I will be staying at the ASMU in December and I am arriving on 12/7, this will be the end of their stay so I am hopeful that I will be okay.

That helps me narrow it down. My husband wants to go the week just before x-mas. Dec.13-21. (happy b-day to me that week) Do the x-mas crowds start that week or is it pretty good?
I have 2 little ones and the crowds would be to much for us.

A few years ago, my son and I were there from 12/14-12/19 and it started to get crowded towards the end of our stay. I would say the beginning of your stay will be okay, but the end, from about the 18th will start to get busy and the crowds will increase as you go from there.

Hey if you do pick the ASMu resort for your 12/08 trip, stop buy and sign up on the list we have started. Hope you have a great trip wherever you pick.

last year we were there until 12/22, friday before christmas, and that was the day to get out of town. we went to epcot that day and left about 3 pm to start home, the lines were horrible, (2 hours for mission space and soarin') and the park was really crowded. you should be ok staying until the 21st.
