I posted this earlier but for the life of me can't find my post among all the others.

Can someone give me some feedback (hopefully good) on the All Star Music resort?

Thanks!

We stayed at the ASMu in 2001 and loved it. The rooms aren't very big, but we didn't spend much time in the room, so it didn't bother us. We had myself, hubby, and two teenage boys. I found the resort to be very clean and the grounds were fun to look at. We stayed in one of the Broadway buildings, so it was a little bit farther to walk to the food court, but I enjoyed the walk and looking at the scenery and the pool.

We got a great deal on the room ($59/night) through a code on mousesavers.com.

The food court offered a wide variety of food choices, and it didn't taste too bad either. I always worry that food from places like that won't have much flavor, but it was good.

All in all our experience was a good one. If you have worries, just put them aside and take a chance. Especially if you have children. Children really love the All Star Resorts. They are so whimsical and entertaining.

Good luck, hope this helps.

My granddaughter and I stayed there on her first Disney trip in 2000. Either pay for prefered view or request the Jazz Bldg. We had a very magical trip and enjoyed our stay there. The food court was great, the buses were great and there were lots of kids for DGD to play with. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again before a DVC stay if money was tight.

All Star Music is great. The All Stars are perfect for small children and family's. Have stayed there twice. Transportation is good. Food court is good. Pools are great. The resort is noisier than other resorts in the moderate and deluxe level. More church groups and teenage groups as well as family groups here. I had no problems with the resort at all. For the price of staying on site you can't beat it and that is the point. This is the place to go with 1) small children who would soak up the Disney theme, and 2) We want to save cash but enjoy a true Disney experience. I really enjoyed my tow trips here.

We stayed at All Star Music in June 2003 (family of four) and were satisfied. There was one "housekeeping issue" that was quickly and appropriately resolved. My kids especially liked the main pool; we spent most of our afternoon breaks there. Bus service was outstanding to and from the parks; the only long wait was returning from MK after Spectro one night. Food court was adequate -definitely met our expectations. We definitely had the "disney feel" while staying there. All in all, there is nothing to make it stand out over and above the other value resorts, but it doesn't lag behind either.

My dd, 10, and I stayed at AllStarMu in Dec. and loved it!! We are going back in August and staying there again for several nights before our stay at BWVs. I would also suggest that you request Jazz bldg. If you want more quiet then ask to be on the third floor facing away from the pool. That's what we had and it was the quietest room we've had on-site!! And the cheerleaders/dancers were there at the same time. The food court had good offerings. I would suggest that you try to do the food court at somewhat off hours. Before 8 am in the mornings. 7 is perfect. The bus service was quite good. The pools looked like fun but since it was pretty chilly we didn't use them. No slides but none of the value resorts have slides. I have to say that I was really surprised by how much we liked the AllStars. I was prepared to 'make do' but that just wasn't the case.

We love it too! I think it's the best value!
Look how many times we've stayed!

We have stayed there 4 times and we really love it. The kids prefer it over the moderates (sad for me we've never stayed at a deluxe).

The preferred buildings are really worth the extra $10 per night to us because we get a room facing the pool and can watch the girls from the pool if they need to go back to the room for something. They can also run into Melody Hall for drinks on their own.

It is also closer to the buses and after a long day walking at the parks, I don't want to walk too far in the resort.

We are going to try POP this year for something different but only because it's new. Otherwise, we'd be back at the All-Stars! Great rooms, great theming, save money to use in the parks (or at the deluxes for dinners, shows, etc)!

Thank you all! We have decided to stay here for our next trip. Although we like the deluxe rooms, they are not big enough for us now (DD practically needs a bathroom all to herself!) so we are planning on getting two rooms here - and that's still cheaper than a deluxe room!!! We have stayed at All Star Sports, and it was fine, but the Music main pool looks so tropical, we are going to try here.

Now - for those of you who mentioned getting a code - was it for anyone, and what time of year did you get the code? TIA!

We stayed at Music. It was just my husband and myself. At the time, we didn't have to pay the extra $10 for a preferred, and we stayed in Calypso. I really liked that location and would consider paying the $10 extra.

Of the three value resorts we've stayed in (Pop, Movies, and Music), I think I would pick movies over music, it seemed more magical, but Music met our needs just fine.
