All Star Music FAQ thread and tips

In Sept. there were reports about some food court renovation at ASMu(some areas blocked off). How is it now? What did they actually work on in the food court?

We were there Sept 20-27 and saw no signs of construction at all.

We checked out on Saturday and there weren't any renovations going on that we knew of. I don't know what they worked on though.

Has anyone ever had a cake delivered to the ASMu? Can you tell me where you ordered it, how it was and how much is cost?

We are visiting ASMu in February. It's our first time staying at a Value Resort and am pleased by the good reviews!

We spent the last week at ASMu and Loved it. We were in the Rock Inn. Bus transportation was not an issue. Most of the time we had our own bus going to parks and returning from parks. Food and weather were great.

We have finally nailed down that we are planning on a family suite, but my concern is how many suites are actually available. I will definitely be calling as soon as "window" opens up, but it makes me nervous to think there may not be any suites open.

My DH cannot stop laughing at me and rolling his eyes. We have 2 years before we are there, but I have already become COMPLETELY obsessed with planning this out. I want all the details done now, so I can just make the ressies and be ready to go!

Great pic's!! The suites look awesome, congrats on the upgrade. Did you ask for the upgrade? What was, if any, the price difference?

I just love the looks of ASMu and we can hardly wait to leave the blustery, dark days of Juneau for the warm, sunny days of WDW.

Juneau! Wow...you will be in a different "world". Here is the cool thing, we showed up at 10am and checked in. I did not expect our room to even be ready. We were just going to hang out at the pool. Our CM told us our room was ready, in Calypso (preferred location), ground floor. I was already thrilled because I had only paid for a standard room. My wife DS, and I walked down to our room to find it was a suite! We didn't ask for an upgrade or anything! But, their marketing worked, because we did reserve one for our bounce back next september! We had a blast though! I love the ASMU, it was our 3rd time there.

:cool1: Wahoo on the upgrade!! We'll think some good thoughts and hope that maybe our ressie will upgrade too. If not we will just be excited to be in WDW as a family...

We will be at ASMusic in 17 days!!!!

Does anyone know if they have a pin board in the store that they bring out for the kids to trade pins?

OK from what I have read here I'm assuming this is alright.....we are only staying one night since this is a quick trip for the MVMCP, but I want the kids to see as much of it as possible......I know they say a room is not ready until 3, but will they let us check in and hang around the hotel so the kids can play and such? I ask because we've never gotten to the hotels early before, but wanting to this time for that purpose.:)

You can check in early and use the resort, no problem. You are a guest but the room just isn't ready.

We were there a week ago and the CMs in the store had lanyards with pins on it to trade with people. I never saw a "pin board" anywhere. There were CMs everywhere that had pins to trade in the parks.

Hi guys. We stayed at ASMu Aug. '07. My SIL and her family are heading there for a week, arriving Nov.10th. Just wanted to know if they still show a Disney movie at the main pool every night. Wasn't sure if it was a summer/peak thing or year round. If they do, is it still 8pm starts in Nov?

Thanks so much for your help. :)
