:teeth: For those who have stayed at ASMovies where would you suggest to request to stay? Will be myself, dh, ds(5) & dd(4) at Christmas time later this year. We did All Star Sports last time but I know the kids (me too :teeth: ) would love the theaming at ASMovies.

Also...is there a room/area that is decorated more Mickey than others? I've heard say that every room at every resort has mickey something but our surf room at ASSports was missing I guess...hee-hee

Thought for the holidays something really disney/mickey would be great in the room!!

Thanks for any & all info

In June 2004 we requested and received the Toy Story Building. My grandson - who was then almost 4 - was in heaven.

We're requesting it again for our trip in February - hoping we get lucky again :rolleyes1

Hi! We stayed in the Toy Story section during our trip in '04. The kids just LOVED it!!! The entire resort just screamed DISNEY:-). The huge movie icons were wonderful.

If I remember correctly, the room we had was Mickey themed. It has Mickey Mouse bedspreads, and other Mickey decor.

I hope you enjoy your time at ASMo. We can't wait to go back.

Over the years we have tried all the Value's.
Liked them all.

Wherever we book as long as it's WDW, I am a happy tourist!!!

:cool1:

2 weeks and counting...............
YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe :cheer2:

We stayed at the movies in September, also in the Toy Story building. My kids loved the theme, especially when you walk through the HUGE door...it's just like Andy's room. The Fantasia buildings are the preferred building, because they are right by the main pool and the food court. I would probably request the Fantasia building if I were to stay here again, because it was a lot harder to get everyone together to go to the food court than just dashing over for a coffee, drink refill, or snack. We stayed in the Surf's Up building at ASSp and the preferred room really did make a difference. It all depends on your family. I'm glad we did the Toy Story building our 1st time because my kids were in awe...it's pure Disney. The Herbie building and the Mighty Ducks (?) were the farthest from the main area.

I stayed in the dalmatian building (but hey i'm biased) They are really close to the main hall, and both pools.

I put in a request for Toy Story or 101 Dalmations because those are the movies that DS likes the best of the ones at ASMo. Hopefully we will get one of those.

If you are looking for Mickey then try the Fantasia section but it is preferred so it costs a bit more to be guaranteed those buildings.

We were in Dalmations Bldg 1 and our room was closer than some of the Fantasia rooms. There is no guarantee you'll get Dalmations though, it's just a request. It was on my ressie as a request to have a non smoking 3rd floor Dalmation or Toy Story room. When we got there the CM gave us a first floor Mighty Ducks bldg. I asked her if she might be able to find us a 3rd floor non smoking Dalmations room and she made a phone call. Not only did we get that, but it was ready right then (couple of hours early). It was very quiet and convenient.

Definitley request the Toy Story building, that's where we stayed Jan. 2005. You are really close the pool, main lobby/food court and buses! We just requested the building when we called to book. We also had a ground floor room which was REALLY great as we had 3 kids (2, 5, 8) who would get extremely heavy after a long day when we had to carry them!

Good luck!

We stayed in Woody's buliding but the whole area was great. Our DS (then3)
loved it.

Sounds like Toy Story is the clear vote here! For those who have stayed there what is the inside room decor of Toy Story section? Bedspread/posters/wall border? How about Fantasia..anyone know what the inside of those rooms are like decor wise?

Thanks so much!

We stayed in Toy Story....the walls were an off white/cream color, there was a poster of Buzz and Woody, and the border at the top was a couple shades of blue and had maybe TS characters? The bedspreads were a couple shades of blue with yellow and purple if I remember right, they may have had movie themes? I think there are pictures on allearsnet, those will probably help more. We liked the room, didn't think it was loud or anything.

The bedspreads in all the resort rooms are deep primary colors (red, yellow, blue) with designs of Dalamations, Mighty Ducks, Love Bug, Fantasia and Toy Story on them. The posters and wallpaper border in each section I've stayed in (Dalmations, Fantasia & Toy Story) reflect that section's movie theme. Toy Story's is the promo poster from the first movie, and its wallpaper has pictures of the characters on it. I believe the Fantasia section's wallpaper was Sorceror Mickey and maybe the brooms. There are star-shaped lights over each bed and a popcorn box light over the table. Each room has a taller dresser (4-5 drawers) and a smaller dresser (2 drawers), which holds the TV. The sink is outside the bathroom, and the bathrooms are black and white with stars on the shower curtains and wallpaper.

I went the last week in Aug-a VERY quiet time to go. I had requested Toy Story or Dalmations 3rd floor and got Love Bug 3rd floor. I wasn't real happy but they said that was all they had. Turns out we really LOVED it there. My DS(4) loved the winner's circle with Herbie and the Herbie's in the buildings. We had to buy the Herbie movie when we got home and all he asked for Christmas was 2 Herbie movies and socks. We found it really quiet and the walk wasn't too bad. Much better than my walk at POR.

Mickey is at the pool. There is a large Mickey icon (phone I think???) at POP.
